Guild Raid Dungeons Beta 2.0
With the release of Raid Dungeons earlier this month, guilds all across Arathos began storming the dungeons, armed with their best heroes and strongest weapons. Along with this rush to the dungeons came a new wave of player feedback on how we could improve them, so we are now excited to announce the Guild Raid Dungeons Beta 2.0!
Why call it Raid 2.0 you ask? Well we did say that the raid dungeons were in beta, so this will be like the first new beta version. Let’s take a look at what Raids 2.0 has in store for all of us!
Contribution Rewards
Raids 2.0 will feature new contribution rewards for players who have helped bring a boss to phase 2 and will also simplify the raid rewards collection process.
• A raid boss phase indicator will be displayed in battle (phase 1 = HP > 50%, phase 2 = HP < 50%)
• Contribution rewards will be sent to members who contributed in fighting the boss once a guild clears raid boss phase 1
• All raid dungeon rewards will be sent directly to player’s inbox and will no longer need to be collected in the raid treasure tab
• A new Guild Quest will be added that rewards players for using their Raid Keys to participate in Raid Dungeon battles
Guild-related Improvements
To encourage teamwork among guild members and simplify things for guild management, Raids 2.0 will add some new features focused on internal guild interaction.
• The number of guild raid damage tiers will be reduced from 4 tiers to only 3 tiers
• A ‘raid attempt counter’ will be displayed alongside each player's damage dealt in the Report tab, allowing a better indication of each member's performance
• New raid leaderboards displaying top performing guilds as well as top players for each raid boss will be added
New Beginner Dungeon And Boss Changes
In order to help younger guilds with newer players adjust to the strategies of guild dungeons, Raids 2.0 will introduce beginner level raid dungeons. Also, to increase the amount of viable raid heroes and strategies, some boss-related mechanics will be adjusted.
• A beginner level raid dungeon will be added (actual release date will be announced later)
• New raid dungeon tutorial system will be added
• Raid bosses will no longer resist certain skill effects such as ‘taunt’
The Journey Continues...
While the Valiant Force team is always working to produce new features and exciting content, a lot of effort also goes into keeping the game balanced. Although playtesting is always our first step, community feedback is also a key indicator of the balance of the game. We look forward to hearing more feedback from the community regarding our changes in Raids 2.0.
Thanks so much for reading this dev blog post, and we will be back again soon with more exciting content for you to read and share!
