I would suggest to make Valiant not only the strongest (Base Stat) but also the uniquest..
The reason why Lucille Inquisitor and Kane Grand Ranger still in use is because they have unique Skill / Aura..
There is no Hero beside Lucille Inquisitor that can cast Invincible Shield..
Same as Lucille, there's no Hero beside Kane GR that can Trigger and Stun through his Aura in a long range attack (surprisingly, Aaron Marksman has the similiar aura except he cannot Trigger)
Although, we have other unique Skill and Aura in other Valiant such as Lucille WD (All Area Charm), Shizu Samurai (Flow of the Sword)..
Lucille Archbishop also have similiar shield with her Inquisitor role but it less shining because the advantages of Party Shield is very usefull in most situation compare to One Unit Shield even if it require less turn to cast..
The point is, if you revamp Valiant with generic Skill and Aura -I'm afraid the regular Hero will easily overpowered them (again) because these regular Hero can be MLBed easier.
Of course, I would choose Kai Ninja lvl 40 over than Shizu Ninja lvl 30..

This is a my general thoughts to make Valiants not only the "Strongest" but also the "Uniquest" in the same time without needed to make them "Overpowered" (thus will create another Cancer, which is hurt the gaming experience)
I've seen and read other user great suggestion but some of them are completely contradict or irrelevant with the lore from each Role / Job itself..
And I have just noticed that the "Taunt" is being removed from upcoming Darrion's skill suggested / planned originally from the Developers which is in my opinion are dangerous..- In the name there is a story behind it -
I believe the Developers doesn't just put random name to each Job Role nor random Information in their description..
They've been thinking deeply about what is the best ability for every Job Role available..
I can presumed that they even considering every Hero has the inner value with their appearance, suit or hairstyle..
So, there's a reason why Holy Defender should have a Mass Taunt and why all Berserkers have side effect upon casting their ultra-destructive-ability..
It's irrelevant when you asked to remove Self Debuff from Freya..
Throwing in Vincent's Aura to her just to generalizing her usefulness is doesn't make any sense..
It is more like less thinking idea that just came from Vincent's Fan that only know how to utilize his Aura without bother to acknowledge Freya's any further..
If you replicate such ability (Skill or Aura) from such Hero to other Hero (in this case Valiant) except with slightly different setup then it's just make less diversity between each Hero..
If this keep going, only a matter of time before they make Champion can cast shield for their Party..
I personally agree with the suggestion to make Valiants (Only Valiants) have a second skill but within an exception -it must have minor effect if the CD is shorter but major effect (than the original Skill) if the CD take -very- longer..
But don't cut their original Skill CD, it will absolutely make Valiants very Imbalance..
Valiant is very different with Summoners where Summoners need to summon their Pet to make them keep in handy..
And actually, all the Valiants original Skill and Aura already good by itself..
They just need a second ability to make them very special and unique..
My friend has create very long-text suggestion..

His main concern is about Valiant as the only Hero that have ability to cover all party with their specific Aura that can only be triggered in particular condition..
Darrion as the strongest Guardian..
In PvE or PvP situation, Darrion (and most Guardian) cannot fulfill his Job as "True Guardian" because AI is set to attack Hero with the lowest DEF in your Party..
Your backliners will being melted in a second because of this..
In PvE situation..> Darrion have xx% to xx% chance based on his Star and Level to Taunt / Miss Direct enemies in xx turn..
> Darrion have xx% chance to absorb xx% damage from party..
This Special Aura is separated from the original Aura and it work like Persistent Aura..
It available for all Darrion Job Role, no matter what Role you chooses -it has the same ability..
If there is two Darrion (different Job) in the same field, it will blended and doesn't stack..
Players can only used 3 Valiant's Special Aura in the same field..
If there's 4 or more Valiant in the same field, Player can choose which Special Aura to be used before or after entering the battlefield..
In PvP, the percentage given will be greatly reduced..
Of course the Developers can play around with it by creating a different effect for this special Aura..
Or adjust the number..
