Arena Heroes Revamp

Dear Valiants!

We will be holding our Arena Heroes’ Revamp which is coming soon shortly by 7th September! Do look out for updates here as we bring to you some sample changes. As Arena Heroes specialize in the Arena, we believe that they deserve an amp up for their abilities, to function and fulfil their duties as specialists in the Arena. We will be releasing a few teasers for the proposed changes for some of the heroes which are still subject to balance and testing, and we look forward to having you players use them again in the future!

Not all Arena Heroes will be revamped, and some will only get minor tweaks and buffs to increase their power level by a little. Here are some proposed changes in their initial drafts!

The idea of this 'revamp' is to push the Half less choosen hero/jobs.

I won't say they are OP, but now they looks better than other half, which is not a bad thing, but open up more counter plays.

**one thing i'm so confuse is why all the mentioned buff, especially the aura are Countering Ranger Comp?**
**anything about counter tanks?**

Sienna's active skill does not match her aura...
It's better if either both of them boost ATK or both of them boost MAG.

Aden BK and Leah zerk become anti-ranger team heroes, while Kira assassin becomes a melee version of ranger (plus stealth). Siena inquisitor seems to be more decent now.

Looks good so far I think. Kira might even see use outside arena team if his crit attack trigger aura managed to get past screenings. But I suppose his attack trigger has a bit too high of a damage for an aura that has 2 effects in it.

Many cool new auras! Leah WL is still a dud though. What about the other jobs?

I appreciate the directions that the developers are taking by actively trying to revamp older and obsolete heroes instead of power creeping by introducing new heroes. I also like the idea of integrating the newly introduced mechanics into older heroes to make them more relevant but with all due respect, even though they are definitely way better than their pre-revamped counterparts, they're still hot garbage and will never be really relevant in Arena, which is ironically the place where they should excel the most. 

You guys need to realize that while tuning a unit from a power level 1 to power level 2 is technically considered an upgrade and a buff, they are still not powerful when other units have like power level 100. 

Well, let's get started with the analysis of the 'revamp', 


Aden Blood Knight- His revamp essentially turns him from a protector role into a unit that pretty much works only with other tanks because he does not protect them from being killed, his aura is only relevant when dealing with trigger teams like a full archer team, which makes his role a very niche one because 1) he only works in a very specific type of formation and 2) he only works against a very specific type of opponent. A 20% ATK debuff would mean that for his post-revamped Aden to match his former self, the opponent needs to have 16k ATK or above. That's a tall order, frankly speaking.

What's up with his active skill? A one turn CD less plus a single target aura silence extra turn of debuff duration does not justify a decrease of 56.25% in the skill damage, if you're up to date with how arena works in the middle and top tier ranking, you'd know that the extra silence duration does not affect jack shit in your outcome of winning or losing.

Assuming an average of 20k HP (that's VERY obtainable), BK Aden was relevant because he gives potentially 4k DEF to everyone in his aura, essentially preventing them from being murdered by shit being flung everywhere from archers formation and the best part was, he is able to be thrown into ANY formation and protect them. Other than being aura slave, he could help out mid-game by throwing what was a 16k nuke (now 7k) to stray remaining targets. Now both his purpose are essentially nerfed, making him nothing more than a shadow of his former self. 

I understand the temptation of putting bleed effect in his skill given his status of a Blood Knight, but if anyone is using BK Aden and sees this revamp, they'd definitely be bleeding in their heart from disappointment. 

Now that we've gotten the biggest disappointment out of the way, let's move on to the next pile of hot garbage. 

Siena Inquisitor- How about this, can we just take a look at her revamped skillset, compare it with the existing priests and ask ourselves will we be running her in Arena or even anywhere else for that matter?

Why are you buffing her team's MAG in aura, but buffing her team's ATK in active? They don't seem to be focused on one aspect but spread out towards both MAG and ATK, which makes her only suitable for specific formation as well. Comparing with the previous skillset, you're basically just turning her into a more offensive support Priest, but here's the problem, in terms of being offensive, Valerie completely puts Siena out of her job even post-revamp, sure there are heals, but most people would think that to make her more relevant as a priest in Arena, inflicting status would be a better option. 

As for the other heroes, I think they are pretty okay for what they do but I believe that a few more additional advantage given for them would cement their status as Arena Heroes.

I won't argue about Aden. But still I personally find his new concept to be more enticing than his old one. Since as you said 20k health Aden is actually doable, then his aura may deal around 2-4k each time the bleeding damage is dealt. I believe two or three instances of those will kill any archers.

If you say he's meant to be archer bane, then yes I also think the same. It's the most encountered team on higher ranked arena anyway..

As for silence aura, I believe it'll be useful on future talent dungeon if they do decide to make the enemies there to have aura.

About Siena, I think she's meant to be included in a healing trigger team, as well as being splashable in any team. If anything else, if you feel her skill to be expendable, you can always use it to lure out resilience effect from tanks with percival set, paving way for swapper or mystic to safely cast their skill, as well as buffing attack for physical attackers.

Ranger squad are only active between 4600-4900, when you reached top 50 (or minimal of 5000 points, it will be guardian heaven)
