[Developer Post] Explanation for recent set item changes

Wed Oct 12, 2016 3:39 pm

Hi everyone, Ryozanki from XII Braves here.

The team has heard your concerns about the recent changes to some of the 4 piece set items, and I am here today to share why the changes are necessary.

We would like to offer our apologies, and continue to improve the process of how and when we deliver messages to all our players.

Moving on to the explanation, this change of breaking the selected 4 piece sets into 2 different sets is necessary before Valiant Force officially launches.

According to our observations, majority of players are having a hard time getting all 4 pieces to form the full set and enjoy the bonus. Hence, players were forced to continue to use their 3 star sets, and this is not what we intended as players move into harder maps.

Breaking the selected 4-piece sets into smaller sets will allow for better progression within the story quest, and ease the replacement of older sets.

With an influx of new players stepping foot on Arathos soon, we felt that giving everyone the chance to obtain set bonuses at an earlier stage would benefit the overall gaming experience.

Internally, we already have a launch date for Southeast Asia (SG, MY, PH, ID, TH) scheduled in the coming weeks, but we would like to test certain features again before making an announcement.

Players can look forward to more gameplay changes in the upcoming weeks, including:

1. Active skills and aura balancing for most heroes
2. Full skills and aura revamp for selected heroes
3. Improvement of melee heroes’ survivability in Arena

New features we are preparing for official launch and the months ahead include:

1. New event mode for Halloween
2. New event market where event items dropped from event missions can be traded for exclusive heroes, equipment, vanity and other useful items (not applicable to events which have ended)
3. Crafting structures in garrison enhanced
4. New way to upgrade items
5. UI improvements

We are currently in the midst of developing these features for the near future:

1. Locking of items and heroes
2. Faith reroll rework
3. Guild Conquest

... and many more!

Once again, the team would like to apologize for inconveniences caused by the recent patch, and we are working towards having a better communication exchange with the players.

Thank you for all your support thus far, and please look forward to our official SEA launch!

Ahaa..now this is how developer should address the players community prior before any patch goes live. Dev should state version update and include any changes and/or modification make with the update.

Minor patch should be inform few hours or 12 hrs before live and a 48 to 24 hrs info for major patch asspecially during event season.

The reason is u want players to be ready before the event so that when the event goes live, players would straight jump into action n not stalling coz they are not edequately ready for whats to come.

How and what content u reveal, keep it sublime, thats what keep players wanting for more. New hero is coming up, correct. Let see how u dev introduce them to the players community.

We cant expect dev to communicate to players always..but make us come to u more. Make the players talking, make the players discussing. Thats how the game will grow.

We all, if not then i speak on behalf of myself, are looking forward to the update and news from u guys. Thank you for your hard work and goodluck.
