As a future launch player, even with no wipe or new server I will most likely play. However, depending on how things are structured I might have a few misgivings.
1. The main thing would be how they split arena rewards. From what little I've read from other players, there is a league/tier of sorts which should go a long way towards leveling the field. However, I also remember reading somewhere that only the top players of arena receive rewards. Does that mean that only the top players of the top tier will receive prizes, or does the top players of every tier receive a prize? If players can chime in here that would be helpful.
2. The implications of the Guild Conquest system. Currently all I've read is that it will be a post-launch feature, but it seems to feature prominently as part of the guild system. For me, the question here is on whether it will be pve based, or pvp based. To put that into context, is guild conquest likely to be a dungeon raid for guild members, or an actual guild vs guild system for points/territory. If its solely pve, then provided the dungeons have a range of difficulties I have no issues whatsoever. If however its a pvp function, then I would be a bit concerned about CBT guilds going around stomping on everyone. While they could have 'Protection' in place or something similar to the arena system, I'm guessing there would be a lot less guilds than players in the pool at any one time, resulting in GvG possibly becoming too limited.
In the end, I view playing online games not as a sprint, but more of a marathon. While a 1-2 month headstart for CBT players is a daunting wall, I am hopeful/optimistic that because the game underwent that period of testing, the overall experience for me becomes more enjoyable later. Besides, its always more fun to chase someone down than to always look over your shoulder
