Re: CB Testers get significant head start?

Mon Aug 29, 2016 6:29 pm

I just don't get the people that try to defend this kind of acts from the developers of a mobile game that just already shoot to their feet with this FIRST head start..

If someone is aware of what CLOSED BETA are, closed beta are means only for find bugs.
This is a HEAD START.
Bug report on this official forum have almost no thread about bugs, and i almost sure that no people playing this headstart will report any bug properly. Just because is a mobile game and they just randomly pick people, without not even caring who to choose or why.

Closed beta have ALWAYS wipe on end of it.
And even Open beta have wipe on almost mmorpg and other games.

This is the first lie that these developer told to us, to their future userbase. And it's a GREAT way to start a game relationship with the userbase.. Everyone is aware of it on the SNS public pages, and many people already just lose interest on the game.
For most of the hardcore playerbase 1 day release is EVERYTHING, and even pick up a game after 1 month after the release is a big hard choice..
For most of the games is really hard to get on the same level of 1st day players if not using a ton of money, and even if developer can assure that is not so hard, it is and it will always be for a game based on stamina/daily/gatcha sistem.

They just want to TEST their price of vip services and gathca to see if the % of userbase of the headstart appreciate them or not, and adjust them before the public release, and this is just unacceptable.

Please, if you really care about this game, stop defending their acts, and start to criticize them, don't try to defend your little headstart, your lucky.
This will get you a HUUUUUGE backfire when you will notice that the userbase of the game will drop down or just the game will not be successful.
This will be even thanks to you, because you didn't help the develper in the right way, because you was not objective, because you was a fanboy or just didn't care to put a little effort on trying to look out from the screen of the game.
There are only like 300 or 400 invited, maybe 200 playing. Some drop off, some don't like the game, some never top up.

You mean 200 players will affect the whole system? There is no auction house, PVP is matched according to your level. How will powerful teams affect you?
In most of the gatcha games even only 10 people affect me, my team, my guild, and all the userbase.
Because there is a pvp sistem.

If i will not able to beat them, i will never be top 10.
And like i said before, developer can say it 100 times, but even 10 days of headstart is a HUGE gap for players.
There is no need to pretending being naive about all this situation, it's just need to be more abjective about all this situation.
And help the developer on criticizing their moves when they are wrong.
If you don't get it, i can't help you, but i'm sure you do
I am seeing this "Closed Beta" as a Soft-Launch instead, so I am ok with that.

I hate to repeat again, but many other games have soft-launch in US and Canada for many months without data wipe, then official global launch. We players from SEA go in, and see all max level players. But I still play if I like the game. I won't stop a game because there are already players inside, since I am not aiming to be number one.

There is finally a global game which is launching in SEA first. And yet everyone is complaining over like, 200 players having a headstart?

Are you aiming to be number one?

You are just comparing different kind of things that don't match.
Usually games that have headstart (like mmorpgs) don't give benefits to early adopters, and you can ALWAYS catch them in term of efforts.
And if not, it's just aniother failing act/sistem that even other companies made before..

How you feel on defending a mistake/error make from these devs with another one that even affected you on the past?!
It's like saing "Oh well many countries drop a bomb in the past, then it's ok even if this country will drop another one like them"

The Greed get really the worst from people..

People need to pay USD 30 or even USD 200 for Founder Packs to enter headstart in MMORPGs these days.

Since when is there a free headstart? Let me know, I also want to join :D

Now Closed Beta is free, though through invites. Ask you pay for headstart, you complain about money grabbers. Give free access, also complain.

There are still some mmorpgs with headstart, i can't say them because i can't talk in this form about other products, anyway one will have free headstart next month.
Founder packs give small benefits (usually only skins, and special kind of clothes for the character) all devs from mmorpg know well that the community is everything in a mmorpg base game, and burn out in the release with a tricked move is just like a suicide.
Many have done it, and many has died in 3 months, someone even less :D

I don't know about how are you talking about, but i never complain about people, i complain about your point of view and of many others, defending their privileges on being a headstarter/or the choosen beta ones, instead of being OBJECTIVE, and publicly say: "ok i'm inside, but that's suck for people that are not, and i know it's a bad move"

You just want to defend your little cute privileges, but like i said, it will be only a backfire, in this case to this game but if you have the same behavior in your life, for your things, it will affect even you and your community.

Just for being aware of it..

You are just pissed at not getting into CBT :D I wish I could give you my access.

Maybe you didn't read IN my words.
I didn't even submitted to the closed beta, and i will not play this game "like a user" if i may say..
I'm not interested at all to the headstart and the release.

And you are not interested to be number one.

But why you can't care about other people?
Why can't you be interested about this product being succesfull if you like it?
Why you can't care on giving nice suggestions to the devs of this game?

I don't get you, but i suppose it's normal, because i don't get almost all the people of this world..
Probably because the selfishness as reach some high levels that even a beast can't understand..

I never said i'm not interested in this game, i have a huge interest, but not like "user wise" most of the people are.
I don't care if i play it now, tomorrow or in 3 years.
I just care to give advice to devs of this game, because i care it to be successful even if i don't care gatcha games and i don't like them.
I will problably even not play it in the way you do.

But this is not about me or you, it's not matter to continue to talk about it.

i give my advice to the people of this forum that still defend the policy of the "Headstart" or defending their lucky closed beta access.
Some people will understand it, and don't care it.
Some people will not understand, and some will not read it at all :D

Or maybe someone will even give some effort on giving quality criticize to these devs.
I just hope so.

I know I've said my piece about this earlier but Jenoss is also right...  I realized I was kind of wrong with my previous point.

The team did say that this was going to be a CBT.  And if you say CBT, gamers would naturally expect a data wipe out at the end of this phase.  Honestly, even I thought the same.  You can even try researching the term in the net and it would say the same thing.  In some CBT cases, devs would provide gems and gold for the players to fully test the game out and find bugs, but in the end of CBT, everything will still be wiped out.  And yea, usually, cash shops aren't open yet during CBT.

A Soft Launch, however, refers to launching the game to a select few (usually carefully picked territories) with very limited in-game features.  Soft Launch is kind of like open beta, but like I said, it's the slim version of the game.  Players can already buy stuffs with real money and they won't have to worry about their progress getting a reset.  This phase is another way for devs to quietly test the game out and see if players encounter anything that needs fixing.

I know that the admins already made it clear that this is CBT, but please... I hope you would take your time to read this and enlighten us once again if this is indeed (and truly) a CBT  :-)
This game has been great for me so far (with some areas for improvement, of course) so I'm also hoping that the others would feel the same way as well.

The dev team said on Facebook they are not changing the system of invites. Right or wrong, it is ultimately their decision.

Well, you can all be unhappy and sulk or quit the game. But I am not one of them, just waiting.
