Is MC double drop event working for everyone?

First week of event, MC drop rate looked normal to me. One or two MC every few Heroic runs. Managed to get over 60 MC in 7 days.
Since ladder started, drop rate became weird for me. After waking up, I got MC in a row for 4-5 runs. Then for the rest of the day, almost nothing at all. Still the same after the double drop event started. Over 20 runs today and only around 6 dropped MC. Is this normal? Or I am just not meant to complete the quest.

Before the MC double drop started, I already had 80 of them but when I started farming today, I finished the quest by the afternoon of saturday so I guess it is really legit.

Nope, still a long way to go, 83/120
And i spend all the energy to run the quest.
Any suggestion, which difficulty get more MC? Thanks.

Master gives the most, second is heroic, then legendary or normal.

My drop rate seemed to be back to normal now after I logged out of my account. Getting 1 MC every few runs, at 104 now.

I feel the same. After 2 days of the double drop event, i still have 40 MC to go. Today's last day of event and im tempted to burn gems for energy.

The MC double drop event is working but I think it's a case of too little, too late. I had 33/120 before Saturday while running event quests regularly/frequently. Been squeezing out every bit of energy possible these 3 days, but only at 82/120. Once it goes back to normal drop rates, I expect to get about 5/day, so don't think I will complete in time. This is bad game design? Or is water mill supposed to be compulsory for anyone who wants to complete all event quests? If so, why not just tell us upfront?

It's all RNG. Some got a few hundred already. So it's drop rate and not necessary anyone can complete.
On another note, it is very useful to have watermill.
