I'm kind of uncertain how to move forward and also I've just got a valiant ticket wondering what to pick

My current team is

Sora Ninja Athena
Cybella GR Athena
Darrion Paladin Kratos
Leon Zealot Zeus

Drake Warrior Hercules
Kai Rogue Hercules
Kai Kensei Hera

Always try to train these units
Offensive units:
- Sven berserker/Warlord
- Kane Grand Ranger
- Cybella Gunslinger
- Assassin Shizu
- Vincent Berserker

Defensive units:
- Victoria Chaos Knight
- Faye (both job is equally strong)
- Combination of Victoria Blood Knight and Faye Holy Defender for reliable heal upon damage takan

Spell users:
- Talissa (Elementalist for CC while Warlock for more damage)
- Ronan (both job is equally strong in their own way)

Supportive units:
- Lucille Inquisitor
- Matilda ( Has very limited uses but they are at least useful in a specific way

Other suggested units
Guild raid:
- Drake Dragoon

PvP:
- Aden Chaos Knight

For now, I suggest you to train Kai Ninja if you have trouble doing Gold mine/Capital, otherwise just stick with the unit I suggested above.
