Weapons Usage

Tue Jun 27, 2017 7:32 pm

I know that there are some classes that use two different types of weapons, namely the Champion and the Ranger classes. The question is, which is a better weapon for them.

Champions can use two handed swords, or can use a one handed lance and a shield on another.

Rangers can use two handed bows, or can use a gun and it's new partner equipment (looks like an ammo bag of some sort)

So, I wanna ask opinions on which is better to use for each class. Any thoughts? :)

Additional: Are heirloom sets any good to have, or is a good mix of equipment or sets of equipment more suited, especially in Legendary quests?

one-handed main weapons+sub weapon is a better but more expensive choice. Reasons being:
1. the current strongest (obtainable-without-too-much-rng-and-real-money-involved) equipment sets are those you can exchange from guild raid (they are all set of four and leave both weapon slots empty);
2. two pieces of equipment offers separate stat bonuses from upgrade (2 pieces of equipment with +5% stat bonus is much easier to get than 1 piece of equipment with +10% stat bonus). But you'll have to spend double the gold and hammer to max upgrade them both.
3. shield offers slight increase in defense for champion type heroes, in exchange for lower base attack of spear. But it's easy to offset with some luck and upgrades (see reason #2). Increased defense stat make it less likely for your hero to be targeted by enemies in higher difficulty setting (they always target any reachable hero with lowest defense stat)

As for Heirloom,
Pros:
-they are pretty strong if combined with the armor set that randomly drop from event dungeon. You can use craft-able armor set to complement heirloom items.
-Their set bonuses rise if you enhance their rarity
-It's cheaper to get. To the point it's quite easy to have multiple number of them.
Cons:
-EXPENSIVE to enhance their rarity since you need to enhance all pieces to the same rarity in order to get the set bonuses. (you won't get set bonuses if you equip one 4* while the rest are still 3*). You'll need a lot of other (unused) equipments to be used as fodder to enhance them.
-They don't mix well with raid armor set
