Just for Fun: Share your boss concept!

Since the developer decided to put trigger chaining limit in the form of boss monster, and there is no official contest about it just yet, why not we share the concept of boss monster we would want to fight? Who knows if one of posted concept become reality? But anyway, this is just for fun. We can freely discuss and argue about the shared concept, thus maybe we can finally come into the concept of a boss monster that is enjoyable yet challenging to fight (in theory :lol:)

Well in fact, it's also okay if you want to share us a super duper powerful boss monster :lol: Just that don't expect people to take it seriously ;)

The form will be like this:

I'm thinking of the final bosses in Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy that use status ailments or spell that damage the whole team heavily. One miscalculation; not healing or casting supporting spell in time will result in loss. Still the cool down of status ailment skills of bosses should be similar to skill cool down of cleanse, shield or revive skills. This will make healer class more meaningful too. 

Still many players don't love challenge. I still remember that people complained a lot about random poison of snake boss coz it interrupts them from doing what they want by breaking auras linked. And with sdd trigger team that can be retreated till you get full time triggers, the variety of the bosses has become less noticeable.

Sorry about that!

But as Cassi said, the definition of 'challenging' is different for each player. When the battle is challenging for some players, it doesn't mean it is fun for others. Which is why I'd love to see what kind of boss you'd find challenging but fun to fight~

Anyway, Cassiel just gave me some good idea about yet another boss

The force end turn is harsh lol

Your new boss is difficult. Cleanse unit is a must bring. Still we need one revive unit coz the marked one is almost guaranteed dead. This will reduce number of other dmg dealer units we can bring. It will be challenging to find a way to beat this boss. Probably the elves with range attack in cf mode are good companions.

Yep it is harsh. :lol:

In this new boss, you'll need to bring a taunter, a debuff and buff remover, someone who can revive people, and a hero capable to deal a lot of damage without too many hits involved.

other than the revive, you know you can always rely on Lucille invincible wall

You see, the boss doesn't have resistance to taunt ;)  You can actually use this to avoid his killing blow targeting other more important member such as the damage dealer or the reviver. Otherwise, VF enemy AI has tendency to use skill on (as usual) lowest def hero on the field. So unless the hot target doesn't get marked, it will be fine (since the marking is random and may hit the same target multiple time like ronan's). Moreover, you can actually Silence the boss or delay his skill cooldown :lol:

Haha, if the boss seems to be so threatening due to his skill set and counter, I guess he successfully served my intention. He doesn't have to be flashy or too punishing, but still terrifying nonetheless. Of course, I'm not that cruel so as to make the boss seemingly impossible to beat of course ;)

As for the elves, it's unintentional, but there is indeed one or two of them that seems to be tailor-made to counter this boss xp

Anyway, quite interesting idea you got there. The counter means he'll punish people that knock him back or stun him perpetually. Though all three doesn't seem to limit ranger trigger team, or the sdd team (any of the variants).

Just that.. what happened if he activates Single Bout while he is unable to attack the target? Maybe add "leap to the front of target" effect before the attack each other 3 times?

If Single Bout can be activated, but all available targets are invisible, he will not activate the skill. If the target is not in melee range, it doesnt matter because he uses a single ranged attack. If it targets your melee units out of their range, your melee units will use single ranged attack as an alternative (think Rhea Gladiator). (That being said, I forgot that aura triggers can activate via Single bout, hence, the ability should disable auras during the 3 attack trades). 

Riptose allows him to attack any target that attacks him, at a 20% chance. Hitting him too fast too many times makes it so that he will likely outdamage your sustain for trigger ranger teams (You will need 4 life steals, one on each unit, if you wish to survive through Riptose, which WILL cripple your crit rate). 

Take your time, survive his attacks, and you should be able to fight him like a normal boss, as long as you play by the boss's rules. SDD works against the boss, admittedly, since you tend to life drain alot, but you cannot stun-lock the boss, and you cannot repeatedly knock his skills into cooldown. Eventually, he'll get to use Single Bout on someone, and you'd want to make that unit survive or something. I'm not sure. I definitely hadnt thought of everything, but I dont think the boss needs to counter all of it.
