Hi.. New player here, just started 3days ago.
I breeze through story on normal but then the difficulty jumped when i reach heroic to the point i need to use my best team for boss battle on each stage.
Until now i just focused on clearing quest but now that the progress is slowing down, i tried upgrading my hero and item, doing arena (stuck on 1110 lol) and i realize that i really need to focus on some hero's growth first than trying to level them up at the same time to help me progress on doing heroic and later, legendary difficulty.
5-star potential unit that i have so far:
5* Ronan Rune Magus Hera
4* Teresa Priest Ares
4* Shizu Rogue Ares
4* Vincent Slayer Athena
3* Ronan Ares
3* Ronan Kratos
3* Teresa Hera
3* Luthor Kratos
3* Victoria Ares

1. Can any1 help me to choose which hero should i focus on first? i planned to build my team around shizu.
2. I'm torn between assassin and ninja for Shizu, can i replace her role for ninja on arena using 4* hero like rin?
3. Is there any point on raising 4* potential hero if i already have 5* potential heroes with the same role?

5* Ronan Rune Magus Hera - Dmg with skill.
4* Teresa Priest Ares -Best healer in this list. Go AB for a shield, since most of the time, its more useful.
4* Shizu Rogue Ares - Go Ninja. Skill + Crit dmg + refresh is really helpful for the team in both Arena and PvE if you plan the usage correctly!
4* Vincent Slayer Athena - I suggest go berserker, because he has more dmg. Although Athena faith is the crappiest, you can just re-rol his faith later
3* Ronan Ares - lb fodder
3* Ronan Kratos - b fodder
3* Teresa Hera - lb fodder or IQ for more choices. Or, you can read Ferico's SW guide and try for SW.
3* Luthor Kratos - go AB if you want to use him. Or, if you want to have 2 healers in play, choose one of them to be SW.
3* Victoria Ares - This is a good choice for CK/BK, which functions as a tank and pseudo-dmger,

Suggested build:
Vincent berserker + BK Victoria (CK also ok) + Ninja Shizu + Teresa AB + (choice of) Ronan/Luthor SW/Teresa SW

4* heroes are easier to lb, and have lower crit cap. Given the same crit stat, a 4* lb will have higher crit chance, slightly lower dmg. Also, since 4* heroes easier to get, easier to choose best faith (thru re-rolling or pulling) as well.
