nightmarez77 Guide to Equipment Enhancement
(V0.1)
Hi everyone, this is my first time writing a game guide, feedbacks would be greatly appreciated!
Introduction:
I am a full F2P player who have played for one month, would not consider myself as a veteran player but I've seen countless questions regarding equipment enhancement
and hope that this guide would help everyone who is afraid of wasting the gold to try something unknown (I've wasted so much gold)
I will split this guide into 3 parts
1) What is Equipment Enhancement and how do I do it?
Slightly experienced players can most likely skip this section as it is catered for beginners
2) Why and when should I enhance my equipments?
This might be useful for long-time players as well.
3) Frequently Asked Questions
-----------------------------------------------------------
Let's get started!
Firstly, before enhancing equipments, you will need equipments in the first place yeah? You can refer to this very detailed guide written by freydom to get all your info!
- Fantastic Equipment and Where to Find Them
1) What is Equipment Enhancement and how do I do it?
Equipment Enhancement is the process of upgrading your equipment's star level. (3*-4*, or 4*-5* for example).
In order to make an equipment eligible for enhancement, you have to first upgrade it to +15. (This part should be well explained in the tutorials)
As a F2P player, my general upgrading process goes like this:
+1 to +3 - No hammers
+3 to +12 - Bronze Hammer (Alot of players choose to use silver hammers for +9 to +12, but I do not have the expedition that provides it, so my resources are limited)
+12 to +14 - Silver Hammer
+14 to +15 - Gold Hammer
Note that this process is VERY costly unless you are very lucky. If you find yourself lacking gold but having more hammers, feel free to change it up, just sharing my personal
process.
After reaching +15, you can press the Enhance Button as shown from the screenshot below.
I have compiled the % rates you get when you feed equipments to a 4* (which is the most common enhancement people do). I am not entirely sure if the rates are different for 5*-6*
(Inputs would be appreciated!)
Enhancement % rates for 4*:
1* - 0.4%
2* - 0.8%
3* - 1.5%
4* - 3.0%
5* - 4.5%
As you can see, the rates are absymal. It takes a very very long time to fully enhance a weapon unless you roll equipments regularly, therefore it is crucial to choose which equipment
you want to enhance.
Once you reach 100%, you can spend 100k gold (in my case it's 4*-5* enhancement, not sure whether the prices changes with different stars) to enhance it!
Conclusion for people who wish to skip the wall of text:
1) Upgrade equipment to +15
2) Start feeding equipments to your +15 equipment
3) Spend some gold to upgrade it's star level!
-----------------------------------------------------------
2) Why and when should I enhance my equipments?
Firstly, would like to talk about the equipment suffixes. Behind the name of each equipments, you will see a suffix (Example: 'Greatsword of Might'). Each suffix is linked
to a few stats and those stats are the only ones you will get every 3 enhancements. The most ideal stats you want to get is those that adds % instead of a fixed value because
it increases the stats by much more.
The highest % stats I've seen on a 4* is +8%, and 5* is +11% (Please correct me if I'm wrong), and 11% on a fully limit break character can go up to 500+ which is a large amount.
'Of Might' - Attack and Crit.
Ideal for archers
'Of Defense' - Defense & HP
Ideal for guardians
'Of Trinity' - Atk, HP, Defense
Ideal for champions
'Of Wizardry' - Atk & Mag
Ideal for Mystic/Healers
'Of Zodiac' - Random stats
Ideal for people who love to gamble
The reason I am mentioning this is that I do not recommend you wasting your time enhancing equipments that are not suitable for your class. The above list might mention
the 'ideal' suffix, but some suffix works for other classes as well. For example, if you have a Hera champion and you feel that his defense/hp is enough, 'Of Might' equipments
is a better choice than 'Of Trinity'. Similarly, if you feel that your archers are TOO squishy, you can have Trinity weapons to slightly buff their survivability
Secondly, I do not recommend enhancement of 3* equipments as well because 4* equipments are easily obtained and have better set bonuses.
So, when should you enhance your equipments?
When you get your desired suffix weapon to +15 and found out the stats are not ideal. As I mentioned, 4* weapons can give up to +8% attack. If you +15 your weapon and
got 7-8% attack, you SHOULD NOT enhance it as it will reset the bonus and it's a RNG battle once again.
This said, if you get a +15 4* weapon with the correct suffix, but the bonus stats are not ideal, you can enhance it as a 'reroll' for your bonus stats. You get another
chance to +15 the weapon and HOPEFULLY get better suffixes this time.
Conclusion for people who wish to skip the wall of text:
- Equipment have suffixes determining bonus stats you get every 3 enhancements
- You shouldn't enhance weapons with the wrong suffixes for your job
- You should not enhance a weapon with very good bonus stats unless you are feeling lucky (you might get a worse weapon in the end)
- You should enhance weapons with the right suffix but bad bonus stats as a re-roll
- One exception is when you are in super late game, you should target to get 6* equipments either way and hope to roll good bonus stats on it

3) Frequently Asked Questions
I will be compiling a list of FAQs to hopefully help everyone out regarding enhancement
a) Does set bonuses remain when you enhance one piece of it?
Answer: YES. It doesn't matter what * your equipment is enhanced to, set bonus remains (Proof below)
b) Does my bonus stats reset when I enhance my weapons?
Answer: YES. All the bonus stats you obtained every 3 enhancements would be removed.
c) Do my equipment keep +15 after enhancing?
Answer: NO. Your equipment goes back to +0 and you have to upgrade it again.
d) Why should I enhance then?
Answer: To get better base stats & 'reroll' bonus stats. Higher * equipments will get a higher range of bonus stats as well.
e) Does weapon suffix change when enhancing?
Answer: No. There is currently no way to change the suffix of an equipment.

Thanks everyone for reading! Please feel free to correct me if I am providing wrong information or insufficient information.
(Just a quick tip) You can upgrade your equipments to +1 if you plan to sell them. You will end up earning more gold and +1 is 100% success (As far as I know)
