First of all I would like to introduce myself, I am EnsonZai , a Medium Code F2P player from Malaysia and currently 64 Level . Why do I write up this guide? The reason that I choose the ‘gold’ as my topic for the guide is because I frequently saw many players post their in-game screenshot on the social media website, and based on my observation out of the players I saw quite number of players are poor in their gold wallet (normally only 3~5 digit gold amount).
Therefore, the aim of this guide is to provide some useful tips for beginner/intermediate F2P Players to manage their gold efficiency.
So basically this guide will cover up most of the things that related with gold. Including some of my personal advice/suggestion for beginner/Intermediate players on what you should or should not invest too much gold in.
Before i talk about the gold, I will start with the Cost first. (Of Coz we always facing something in the game called 'cost', which we have to pay it by using gold)
Where did the COST normally come from?!
Guild mission
One of the guild mission require us to pay gold in order to complete it, It is a permenant cost for us once we step into the guild room. However it is optional, if you wan to complete the guild mission for the guild chest, then yes, you have to pay for it. However, it is depend on you whether the guild chest reward attract to you or not.
I personally would suggest to pay for it for its reward, Guild Chest give you extra energy/gold/gem and job key!! who dont like that? xD
For my level 64, everyday I have to pay 60k to complete the mission. If i am not mistaken every 5 level will increase 10k cost of completing the mission. so i am gonna to pay for 70k for next level i think =(
Building
Building cost is one of the un-avoidable cost to all VF Players, due to we want to gain specific benefits from it, a higher level building also provide higher return. A building upgrade can cost up 20k~300k plus. Therefore, spare gold is important in order to keep all the building up-to-date.
Market Place's Products
There are many items sold in market place, and most of the items price tag in form of gold.
The items you are recommend to purchase :
2-4* Hero Ticket = cost you 20k gold
3~4* Hero Ticket = cost you 100k gold
3* Hero Ticket = cost you 50k gold
Energy = 15 energy cost you 40k gold
Hero ticket always great to have, the rate for you to obtain a 5 star potential hero is quite good from the hero ticket, that's why i like it so much and purchase once it show up. (It also involve the chance of getting event hero~!! Obtt the game, extra energy meaning it give you more experience, more gold and more drops !! Especially during event ladder period, it is very important to get the extra energy!!
Fusion/Training
Yes, It is un-avoidable cost to all VF Players too. We need it to make our hero strong!!
However, we can still minimize the cost to fuse/train our hero.
How to Fuse/Train your hero efficiency :
3 Star Unit = Use 1~2 star fodder to fuse ( use 2 star when it is 3 star +2 )
4 Star Unit = Use 2~3 star fodder to fuse ( use 3 star when it is 4 star +2 )
5 Star Unit = Use 3~4 star fodder to fuse ( use 4 star only when it is 5 star +2 )
*Please do not use 1~2 star fodder to train your 5 star unit, your gold mountain will melt in no time. (be patient and collect for more higher star fodders)
Limit Break,Reroll faith and Reroll Aura
This game features consider as end game stuff, where you already have your ideal squad and you wish to make them even stronger and perfect. Each of this features will require you to pay 100K Gold!
- Limit Break - It is use to gain your hero 2 extra levels by using a duplicate unit, and u can limit break up to 5 times. i personally not advise you to do it, unless your squad already is what you want. otherwise, i would suggest you to use the duplicate unit go for other path (having different unit can be really great as it may end up help you to clear any of the difficult/situational event dungeon). Additional, please do not try to limit break the 4 star potential units, because they may be available to 5 star potential in the future patch.
- Faith Reroll - Faith can be crucial to a hero, as it significantly affect the hero stats. However, having hero with a bad faith doesn't mean it is end of the world, you can try raise it up first and turn it into the job path which best match with your squad units. But you may ask me, How about the bad faith ?! Yes, you need to change it later on.
There are two ways to make your hero perfect :- you can be patient and wait until you pull another same unit with good faith, and use the previous bad faith unit to limit break the new unit.
- You can try to reroll faith when you have many spare 5 star monster fodders, do take note that reroll faith is RNG Based, you may end up wasted all your resource and gold without getting the faith you want.
- * I personally prefer 1 over 2. Patient is always a key toward success.
- Aura Reroll - A 5 star hero have 3 aura direction, one of the aura arrow facing the wrong direction?! it is not a big deal, u can reroll it. However, you are advised to do it only when the hero u want to reroll have the perfect faith. Also, if your 5 star potential hero(perfect faith) in form of 4 star yet, and one of its aura arrow is facing wrong direction, you can try reroll it on 4 star first, because it only require you to use a 4 star fodder to reroll its aura instead of 5 star.
Expeditions (Job Key, Gem)
For beginner, it may not be a issue for you yet. but once you step into middle~late game, there are two expeditions may end up drain much gold from you when you deploy it.
Academic Building - Job Key Expedition (Max 2 Job Keys) = Cost 50k gold per deploy
Gem Cavern Building - Gem Expedition (Max 10 Gems) = Cost 100k gold per deploy
Between both of the high cost expedition, you are advised to deploy the job key expedition, having the extra job keys can really speed up your progress.
While for the gems expedition, you are advised to use it only when you are in emergency and really need more gems.
Enhancement
I am currently in a middle status of the game, and I don’t really try it out yet. However based on the information i heard from VF Senior, I feel like it is not really necessary for a beginner/intermediate players, because it basically will waste up a lot of your gold and resources, and it is risky. Why?
*Ignore this if you already know it > (note that every upgrade +3 it will randomly grant you an addition bonus stats such as atk/hp/def +xx or in term of % for a 'trinity' suffix equipment)
Lets say currently you have a ''4 Star +15 'Trinity' suffix weapon'' for your champion , it have a very good bonus stat which is atk+8%. If you plan to enhance it and raise it to 5 Star, then you have to take the risk which mean once your weapon turn into 5 star, all the bonus stat will be reset, and you have to upgrade every +3 to obtain a random bonus stats again. It may turnout not as good as previous one, because if the worse case happen then you may not be able to get back the +atk xx% bonus stat again, if you are unlucky.
Upgrade Weapon/Equipment
upgrade equipment are one of the high cost feature in the game. the higher the refine number, the higher the cost, also the lower the success rate of refine.
I always saw many new players try to refine all their equipment/weapon to +15 regardless the rarity of the equipment.
but i personally think it is not necessary to refine your equipment to +15 as a beginner/intermediate players. because it is very costly from +10 onward.
The truth is that until now i haven't try to make any of my equipment to +15, i am still running my squad in the dungeon/arena by using a set of equipment with refine +9~12, and without any problem.
However, you are advised to refine your equipment to +15 when you own full set of the equipment and you should priority to refine the equipment with perfect suffix for your class first.
Please make sure your equipment's refine number to be in 3/6/9/12/15. As every +3 will grant you extra bonus stats which is very important for your hero.
Upgrade Hero’s Skill Level
Upgrading a Hero's Skill can be very costly, a lot of VF Players don't really aware about the total cost of maxing a 5 star hero's skill level.
As you can see from the table, the total cost for maxed up a 5 star hero's skill require 313,900 GOLD!! It is not a small amount of gold. Imagine the total cost for maxing all your units in your squad, 313,900 x 5 hero = ??? that is at least 1.5 million gold!! Therefore, gold is very important and will never be enough for all the VF Players.
General tips for upgrade skill (prevent from spending unnecessary gold) :
- Do not upgrade your 5 star potential unit's skill before you raise it into 5 star, it is waste of gold. (example : when you upgrade your unit's skill during 4 star, it won't bring over to 5 star. because once you raise it into 5 star you are require to upgrade it from skill level 1 again.)
- Do not spend too much gold on upgrade a 'bad faith' unit's skill level, unless you are plan to reroll its faith in the future.
- You are advised not to upgrade the skill level over 20 level, because the cost of upgrade per level from 20 onward are very expensive (as you can see from the table, total cost for 21~30 level is 184k+ which is doubled of the total cost for 11~20Lv. However you can do it when you holding ton of spare gold, or the unit is your damage dealer (extra 10 level for more damage output)
the fusion cost for the rune is fixed according to the rune's star.
1 star rune = 1k gold per rune u put into fusion.
2 star rune = 2k
3 star rune = 3k
4 star rune = 4k
5 star rune = 5k
What I going to suggest you for the rune fusion, you are not encourage to fuse your specific rune by using any rune that are two or three star below the specific rune to fuse it.
For example if u wanna to fuse your 5 star rune, u are not recommend to fuse it by using 1 or 2 star unwanted rune to fuse it. you will end up losing your gold mountain!!
Where to get more GOLD?!
Gold Mine
Gold Mine is a must for F2P players, it will constantly generate free gold for us to cover up our daily utility cost. Build it and love it !!
Shop
Shop is one of the place we can obtain gold from, i personally strongly suggest F2P players who are in rush for more gold to purchase the 1million + 1million bonus gold pack in the shop for the first time.
Market Place
Beside shop, the market place is another place for you to grab more gold. the price of gold sold in market place is slightly lower than you buy in the shop, however you are advised to buy it only if you are too much spare gem and lack of gold to train your unit or upgrade the building.
Gold Dungeon
Gold Dungeon without doubt is the best place for VF Players to farm gold !!!
Everyday we are given 1~3 Times chance to enter the gold dungeon, the day that given 3 times chance are fall on monday, thursday and sunday.
The gold amount generate by each level of difficulty : Heroic = 80~120k , Legendary = 150~280k
Please consistently clear all the gold dungeon everyday and do not waste it.
Try to build up a good gold farming squad in order for you to maximize your gold dungeon farm.
Hero Units that are advised to use for gold dungeon : Dragoon, Ninja, Assassin, elementalist, mind warder, gunslinger and any other aoe skill units.
Try to clear legendary stage once you can clear heroic stage easily.
*Additional : If you can clear the legendary stage with (10/10), I strongly recommend you to pay 25gems for 1 more additional entry, it definitely worth and better then you to pay gems buy from shop/market place.
Guild Chest
As i mentioned at top, guild chest do give extra gold.
Event
One of the reason that i love Valiant Force is because VF continuously combo one event over another event non-stop. The event always come together with good prize and rewards for us.
Every event created by VF always involved gold, and the total gold amount you can obtain from completing all the event missions are at least 500k~1million plus.
So you are advised to try your best to complete all the event mission as much as you can, and remember to grab the gold from the event bazaar if it is available. lets go and grab all those freebies together xD !!
Daily Login and missions
nothing much to mention about this, basically we will be able to received free gold on certain day of daily login. also, some of the mission such as collecting equipment will give the gold as reward.
***Additional Useful Tips:
1. Max your monster level and sell it
I recommend you to do it with 1 star fodders, you bring four 1 star fodders along with a 5 star strong unit to level them up.
2. Upgrade your unwanted weapon/equipment once before sell it.
Before Upgrade selling price: 2100 gold
Upgrade Cost: 1200 gold
After upgrade's selling price: 4200 gold
*Extra profit = 4200 - 1200 - 2100 = 900 gold

To Maximize your profit, you can upgrade to certain level before you sell it :
1* equipment should upgrade to +1
2* equipment should upgrade to +2
3* equipment should upgrade to +3 (But, note that 3 Star Equipment has a failure rate for +1~3. However I personally suggest you to +1 is good enough for that extra profit 900 gold)
