I just got my 2nd variant, Shizu Ares, but I cant decide which class should I advance. I usually play PVP more than PVE. Since her faith is Ares, I dont think Assassin and Magebane will be suitable choice, ninja's skill is good but Ares faith is kinda lack survivability and Samurai is kinda bad job for Shizu (-MAG? why not ATK like Kai). I really cant choose the class. My current team is
Feye Paladin (thorn shield)
Vincent Berserker
Kane Sharpshooter
Teresa Archbishop
Cybella Gunslinger

Planing to switch from Cybella to Shizu

Ugh, samurai shizu has one of the gamebreaking aura in game, ill put samurai and ninja above magebane and assassin. I dont know why alot of ppl think samurai shizu is a bad choice, her samurai path is very underrated, you can literally do double/triple/quadruple attack in a turn depending on your luck with her.

Since you have cybella gunslinger why dont you try pairing her with samurai ? Woulda been a trigger fest if you promoted ur kane to GR/GS instead of sharpshooter. But i still prefer the samurai path over magebane / assassin for any faith other than hera.

Actually Ares faith is perfect for Ninja, as after you swap you can stealth for 2 turns while doing huge damage to enemies.
Some people say making Shizu a Ninja is a waste of Valiant hero, because her skill is about the same as Kai with just a little higher chance and higher status.
But some people who don't have Kai feel it's really worth to make Shizu Ninja because the class is literally good almost everywhere: gold dungeon, story mode, events and pvp. And due to Valiant's strong status she is much stronger than Kai if you compare their non-limit break version.
Samurai is not useless, her aura is really good but it requires a certain team setup to shine. If you plan to replace cybella with Shizu, your team would not be suited for Shizu Samurai because she is best for trigger team.

Ares Shizu =  Samurai hands down. Nothing is even comparable even more so if you are leaning towards PVP. 

If you need Ninja use Kai because all other classes for Kai is shit. long term wise you will eventually get a MLB Kai

its not that all other classes for Kai are what you determined as is, its just that Ninja Kai overshadows the rest in the current meta. Since lots of people are now using him and have neglected the other classes, future patches may buff them that may make Ninja Kai a 2nd choice.
