Is expedition good ? I know the gold mine one is great, but is it worth sending the rest of the hero for the other expeditions or use them to fuse into hero instead ?

Well, since there is achievement rewards for sending expeditions, so... I always do expedition.

it give you necessary thing that you can't get from any other way or increase your progress by collect a bit more of it every expedition
and some mission require you to send expedition to achieve the reward
