1) I am amassing a lot of two-star and three-star units hitting the maximum level of 20. Are they of any use or should I just feed them for training up my Valiant (Freya) and two 4-star units for now? It seems there is no difference in the points earned from feeding a lvl 1 to feeding a lvl 20.

2) I started playing yesterday evening and am now halfway across the second map. I am following the general advice of "amass 450 gems and roll for Heroes". Currently I am facing a gold shortage as my two 4-stars and my Valiant keep hitting max levels and feeding them units to Train/Upgrade. Am i on the right track?

may i know what is the other *4 unit you have and their faith ?

Aaron shoots arrows (green icon). Yeah he is my main offense right now along with my Freya (Ares).
Moving forward, is it easy to get Valiants in this game? Are they considered the "ultimate goals" to achieve? Are there other good five-stars that are not Valiants? I assume that three-stars right now are trash to either feed into my mains, and I assume that four-stars are just my main units until I get my five-stars.

Any 4* or 5* is useful. You can get Valiants every month so just hang in there.

While Valiants have superior stats and usually superior skills and auras, it's easier to limit break normal 5* heroes.
