Limit Break

Apologies if this has been asked but limit break just add +2 to the level cap? for each same card you use?

yeah although the stat gain is greater than levelling normally for each limit break so it isn't just +2 levels.
you need the same unit of the same class and rarity (star) - e.g. to limit break your 5 star cybella sharpshooter you would need a 5 star cybella sharpshooter basically (no need max training or level for fodder).

I'm taking my own words from another topic:
Lv.30 Gunslinger Cybella +2 only needs another exact same copy of Lv.1 Gunslinger Cybella +0 for limit breaking. You will increase the maximum level of your original Lv.30 Gunslinger Cybella +2 by extra 2 more levels which you have to gather XP for but her training does not reset. Repeat this process 5 times to get a Lv.40 Gunslinger Cybella +2.
