When they say that it requires a 4* or 5* hero for rerolling aura or faith, this does not include 4*+1/+2 or 5*+1 heroes? Does this mean that if I have an obsolete hero currently at 5*+1, he can't be used for anything other than regular training fusion or limit break?

As long as it is the same star as the description mentioned, it can be use for the said function. Regardless of the job, training, level, etc.

3 star to reroll a hero with 3star max,
4 star to reroll a hero with 4star max, and so on.

By the way the easiest way is to see whether is it available for selection when rerolling.

Yea that's what I thought too, but I can't seem to use my 5*+1 Zedd to reroll my 5* Luthor's aura direction. He's not locked nor is he in any squad, but does not appear in the selection screen for sacrifice. I tried going into the faith reroll screen for any 5* hero and it's the same situation.

I tried using my 5 star Freya to reroll my Kane's faith.
I think we can't use valiants as sacrifice either? XD
