Vincent Berserker
This serves as a guide to the highest potential damage dealing hero in game, A Vincent Berserker is useful in both PVE & PVP
(Note the attack value after berserk - this is instant 1 hit KO without needing to crit)
Pros
- Highest Damage Limit among all heroes as of today
- Potential to cleave up to 4 units!
- Ranged skill which usually 1 shot most stuff back-line in PVP
- Easy to fit into most teams
- Ability to counter most teams in PVP easily (mainly due to bad AI I suppose)
- Not a Valiant. Yes, Vincent Berserker is better than Freya Berserker!
(Cleave AOE and Damage)
Cons
- Not easy for first-timer to use in PVP (will explain more)
- Can't think of anything else
------------------
Combat Mechanics
Before I get into this guide, I will need to explain the mechanics of combat damage to illustrate the power of Vincent as a Berserker. While the exact combat formula is not revealed, it is one heavily slanted towards a straight deduction of (Attack - Def) rather then a percentage scaling. To list an example.
Example 1
Defender has 6k Defense
Attacker A has 7k Offense
Attacker A attacking the defender will deal approximately 1k Damage (7k -6k)
Example 2
Defender has 6k Defense
Attacker B (Vincent) has 21k Offense (easy number to obtain after berserk with moderate EQ)
Attacker A attacking the defender will deal approximately 15k Damage (21k -6k)
As you can see, even though the attack difference between the 2 attackers is only 3x, the actual damage dealt difference is 15x. Basically, every point of attack you manage to stack on your hero will have exponential returns in combat damage!
------------------
Why Vincent?
Vincent is better than Freya or any other champions in the game right now in the berserker role.
- Passive aura to increase attack by 25% of base! - Read the mechanics stuff above, 25% attack scales A LOT, and it scales for your allies too
- Berserking has a penalty, in the form of Freya, it is a downright defense decrease (remember what I said about attack scaling? well, defense scales the same way too!). Vincent's penalty is a poison over turn which is in my opinion far less severe.
- Vincent is not a valiant - Yup, so much easier to obtain and limit break
------------------
Hero Setup
Best Faith: Ares (Highest attack + higher crit rate than Zeus). Zeus is second, I won't consider any others :/
Runes: All Red Runes to get +20% Attack. Crit or Attack base runes are the best here. I personally favor Crit - Will explain later
Equip: Whatever you can wear to get the highest attack
Position: Right in the middle, first tile (so you can cleave 3)
Basically, build Vincent like a Glass Cannon because he usually doesn't get targeted first as his base defensive stats are higher than what you have in your back range
------------------
Combat Objective (Optimal Combat Conditions)
Vincent is a game turner by himself, use him wisely and he will bring you far
1 HIT KO Conditions
- Vincent lands a critical hit - 1 HIT KO with or without berserk usually - This is why my preference for Red runes with Crit as base, as it is almost impossible at the higher ranks to have enough normal attack to 1 Hit heroes without Crit just by buffing attack, so why not put some into crit and pray for lady luck?
- Vincent lands a normal hit AFTER berserk. Simplest sure way to kill, can only happen in 3rd round.
- Turn 1, triggers 25% Buff -> Turn 2, Carnage Revolt into opponent's back line (usually 1 hit KO), aim for Rangers first.
Optimal Combat
- Cleave as many as possible, this means not using him early on only a single unit when you can wait for more to come
- Yes, the above also means not having your other units step on the middle tiles too for optimal cleaving. You need to give them room to pack up nicely for the chop.
(A normal battle standard operation procedure by me, I usually let the AI take the 3 middle tiles for optimal cleaving)
- Put him together with other triggers - Build your team around Vincent
- Watch out for Skill Delay heroes on the other side! Carnage revolt early if you spot those pesky mindwarders
NOTE: Vincent has cleave, please use this to your max advantage
Note note note: Berserk only last for 2 turns in PVP, this means you should only ideally use Vincent at the last stage of 2nd round, and the first stage of 3rd round.
(Screen shot at last phase of 2nd round, I always try to use him last whenever when possible at Round 2, then proceed by using him first turn on round 1 for the 1-Hit-KO Berserk Hit)
Things Vincent should never do in PVP (well, almost never lol)
- Step on the middle tiles - Just don't do it, your primary objective with vincent is to deal damage, middle tile is not for him bro. Let people come to you
- Carnage Revolt into full life tanks - Why do this when you can 1 hit KO a backliner? Maybe there are situations which call for this, but those are very very very very rare

Vincent Best Friends
Personal opinion here
- Trigger/Refresh teams (put him in the middle)
- Delay/Silence/Sleep/Stun teams, basically keep opponents as tame rabbits while Vincent culls them
- Attack buffing team, no such thing as too much attack, basically have everyone in aura range just to boost Vincent's attack as high as possible (don't do this if you have trigger team, a trigger team is much better)
Good luck and have fun, I basically climbed about 3k arena points in less than 2 weeks with a Vincent core and some supporting cast heroes. If you have a Vincent, you can do it too!
