Is there such a guide that people can refer to before advancing to the next job ?

Nope, no one reach the end game stage yet even heavy spender so no one can have you the correct guide even we will have things come out after launch
By my opinion everybody make their mistake, even now and one 5* team can't be the only thing you have in the future so choose the path I like without worrying

Just beta now, I am sure there will be re-balancing for launch update.
