***This guide contains spoiler, now is your chance to look away
*Update new boss stats 9/11/2016
As of patch 1.0.0, Capitol’s Last Stand Legendary mode is the most difficult encounter in the game. Truthfully, it should be set as one of the goal for every player. It’s the place where the highest farmable grade of rune drops(3* and 4*).
Why is there a need to conquer the stage asap? This will be explained along with a few screenshots below:
As everybody knows, upgrading in the game can be quite costly. Doing daily capitol run without fail is one of cheapest and sure way of upgrading your unit. From the screenshot above, you can see the amount of percentage increase when using each grade of rune as fodder.
2* = 10%
3* = 25% = 2*x2.5
4* = 100% = 3*x4 = 2*10
From the above equation, we can see that the higher grade rune when using as fodder has exponential growth. The earlier you can beat legendary mode, the faster your rune/unit will grow. Nevertheless, this should be attempted if you are able to reach Legendary map 4 (Forsaken Lands).
Boss Stats v1.0.0 and v1.2.0 updated 7/11/2016
HP 115628 105116
ATK 14494 10404
DEF 8261 7260
CRIT 0
MAG 0
Boss Skill:
- CD 2: AOE Silence + AOE ATK down
- CD 4: AOE Heavy spell damage(stronger than normal attack) + Knock back
Team Recommendation:
A team that can deal up to 80-90k damage from skills alone. (You can get a rough estimate by calculating unit skill damage with base stats time skill multiplier since the boss has zero magic defense.) The rest can be covered by normal attack. A few of your units need to have ATK higher than the boss's DEF after buff (8,2617,260) to actually hurt him.
**Ignore the following part if you are using Inquisitor Lucille
Stats for surviving boss’s preemptive attack without Lucille’s invincibility shield(+/-10%):
1st column (full damage): 5k DEF/12k HP 3.5k DEF/10k HP
2nd column (25% damage reduction): 3.5k DEF/ 12k HP 3k DEF/9k HP
3rd column (44% damage reduction): 2.5k DEF/ 10k HP 2.5k DEF/8k HP
4th column (58% damage reduction): 2k DEF/ 7k HP 2k DEF/6k HP
General Strategy without Inquisitor Lucille/Archbishop Teresa:
- Line up your unit in a 2-1-2 formation to take advantage of the damage reduction for your back column.
- The 2 row formation is used so you can have some breathing room if your dps isn’t strong enough to clear the three row of trash mob.
- ***Very Important*** Do a head count of the number of minion you kill. After summoning 20 minions, the boss will show up next.***
- Before the boss shows up, move your most tanky unit 1 tile forward (if possible) to take advantage of damage reduction for 2nd, 3rd and 4th column. If you fail at this step make sure your unit can survive the boss attack. *A 4-column formation is not as important now that boss's ATK is reduced by 4,000
- Use DEF up items just the round before the boss shows up.
- After the boss attack, heal up if you can survive the next hit
- Use ATK/MAG up items and go all out.
- Use cc here if you have
- Silence/delay if your cc fail when the boss skill is up
General Strategy with Inquisitor Lucille/Archbishop Teresa:
*A shield is not really needed now that boss's ATK is reduced by 4,000
- Having a priest with shield means you can ignore def stats and focus all on your damage.
- Use your priest heal/shield before the boss show up.
- Use ATK/MAG up items and go all out.
- Use cc when the shield wears out and keep the cc going
- Silence/delay if your cc fail when the boss skill is up
Recommended Units:
Warlord(first column, middle row) - mvp for trash clearing phase/pull the boss to melee range so other melee doesn’t have to waste turn moving towards him
Berserker(first column, middle row) - mvp for trash clearing phase /heavy dps (will need inquisitor Lucille/archbishop Lucille, Teresa to keep him up when using skill during boss phase)
Dragoon - cc
Gladiator - cc
Ninja - mvp for trash clearing phase/def debuff+swap (since the boss has high def, the debuff is really useful)
Inquisitor Lucille - invincibility *A shield is not really needed now that boss's ATK is reduced by 4,000
Archbishop Teresa - shield *A shield is not really needed now that boss's ATK is reduced by 4,000
Mind Warder Zedd - delay/team buff
Sharpshooter - heavy dps
Gunslinger Cybella - mvp for trash clearing phase/cc/aura help a lot during boss phase (30-40% chance of triggering 2-3 other members of your team to deal 100% damage is no joke)
Grand Ranger - cc
Item Recommendation:
Large/Major Healing Potion, ATK up Root, DEF up Egg, MAG up Shroom and Healing Storm Potion.
