Help Progressing my Team

Tue Nov 15, 2016 11:32 am

Hello, I'm looking for suggestion on building my team, leaning more to PvE than PvP.

Curently, here are some of my unit worth mentioning:

5*-able
4* Kane - Hunter - Hera
4* Vincent - Lancer - Ares
4* Cybella - Marksman - Hercules

4*-able
4* Kristoph - Invoker - Zeus
4* Natalia - Crusader - Hercules
4* Aaron - Marksman - Zeus
4* Claude - Priest - Kratos
3* Natalia - Knight - Ares
3* Isabella - Mage - Athena

I'm keen on creating a stunlock team consisting of mainly: Kane [Grand Hunter], Vincent [Dragoon], Natalia [Zealot], with other placeholder units mixed up. I'm considering to include Cybella [Marksman], but her faith is lacking I guess?

I have gems enough to do 2x10 summons, but would rather not use it for now, an hold it for next event summon.

Which characters do you think I should invest on? I want to invest my resource on characters which can be used as staple or at least a placeholder for a large amount of time.

Thanks before

You currently do not have enough capable heroes to form a stun lock team, it is still too early for you to consider anyway until you reach Legendary mode in the story.

Vincent being either Gladiator or Dragoon for a stun lock team is debatable. Would you rather wait for 6 turns to apply a two-turn stun? or leaping there fast and try to trigger stun at a 30% chance to apply a one-turn stun? It all depends who your other 4 members are. I don't really want to go in-dept as I can only provide theories on this because I do not play a stun lock team.

To answer your question. Any 5* potential heroes are worth investing in no matter the faith, but if you feel that their faiths are not favorable, build them up to 5* +0 first and keep them for expeditions. Until after you pull for one with a better faith, then you can limit break using the ones with unfavorable faith. If you don't want to wait, then you can go ahead to build them up to the job you desire with max leveled +2 and wait for the faith re-roll feature to arrive. Most important is their utility, their stats don't matter much until you reach the end game.

Your 4* heroes are not fodder either, keep them for expeditions as you will be sending them out in dozens later in the game as you build/upgrade more buildings.

Hi Nightingale, thanks for the reply!

I do aware currently my team is not sufficient to perform a stun lock team, but I want to have it as a goal in the long term. In the meantime how do you think my team should be build based on my current roster? Is having a healer on team is a must on progressing the story?

I personally favor Dragoon Vincent because of the aesthetics, so I'll go with him for now.

Is it advised to promote all *5 potential to *5? It takes lots of resource and I'm still wondering if its a good investment, because the number of *5 I get would surely add up with time.

If you're planning on a stun lock team, a Healer isn't' a must, but it is still good to have when clearing mobs on your way to the boss. It is actually advisable to bring one along just in case you failed to apply stun and the boss gets to go loose on your team. An example would be Archbishop Teresa, keep her skill in ready just in case Vincent fails to apply stun and you've got no one left to do it and the boss can unleash hell on you the next turn, then her shield can come in handy and If you have Inquisitor Lucille the better.

For 5* promotion. It is exactly the reason they take up a lot of resource to get their promotion which makes them worthwhile to invest in. The more 5* the better which can allow you to limit break or build different setups to tackle on the various modes of the game. Investing in 4* will just slow your progress down, we don't even know if their 5* versions are ever going to get their release. The 4*s can only be a temporary solution if your team is lacking what they have, but by no means they should be staple in your team in the long run.

I'm pairing Vincent with Kane, and so far the stun probability is quite good actually. Inquisitior Lucille skill sets are awesome. Currently I don't have 5*-able healer, so I'm settled with Theia.

Yeah I agree. Overall I think I should try to look on the 5*-able characters and equips. Maybe the reason of lack of impact is the equips instead of the units.
