Options to Improve Guild Function : Implement [GIFT] System for Guild, Emoji for Chats, Guild Officers' Rights & More!

Tue Jan 10, 2017 8:33 pm

As the title indicates, I am actually hoping the Developers will look into this system [Gift], the chat systems, the guild officers' right and some additional thing for the guild.

Let's begin with the Gift System.

So.. What exactly do i mean by [GIFT]?
It refers to the process or act of giving someone you know (in your guild or your buddy list) a certain item.

A certain Item meaning?
Gems. Golds. Consumable such as Potions or even slot expansion as gift. And if possible, probably introduce a new guild currency with a similar purpose to Valianites for guild usage which opens to a special page similar to Valianites but different content - Maybe like Guild Costume, or Guild Hero (I forsee this) or 10 guild currencies for 15,000 gold.
However, equipment and runes are out of the question and not in this picture.

What is my intention behind this system?
Occasionally, my guild committee would organise in-guild event such as picture hunt or whats not. We hope that through this feature, we could reward our active guild members without looking for external platform to provide them with rewards.

But this gift system is exploitable!
Yes, such systems are especially exploitable but with certain measures taken, it could still be implemented. Please take a look at my suggestions below to see how each restriction imposed could help control exploitation.

And your certain measures are..?
For example, to give a gift to someone, certain conditions have to be fulfilled:

1. You and the other parties are affiliated - meaning you are from the same guild.
2. You and the other parties must know each other for a certain amount of time - for example, in a guild, the other party and you must be online together in-game for more than X weeks.
3. Both parties must accept the [Gift] process - one has to initiate the [Gift] process and the other concern party must accept it within a certain time, for example, within 1 day.
4. The person who is giving out the [Gift] cannot be inactive for more than X weeks. This is to protect inactive user from losing their items.
5. The person giving out the [Gift] has the right to retrieve the [Gift] back within X days. In the event the [Gift] was given out wrongly or the [Gift] was unintentionally given away, as long as it's within the time frame, the [Gift] could be retrieved back by the user.
6. Capping. There's two kinds of capping. First, there's a limit to how many transaction a Guild Leader or Officer can make to another member of the guild. For example, the guild leader himself can have up to 3 transactions to any guild members per month and officers can only make 1 transaction to another equivalent member or below per month. Second, the cap limit of each currency or resources, for example, cap limit for gold per transaction be limit to 20,000, or 10 potions, or perhaps 2 guild currencies or 25 Gems (MAX) per transaction per player. Similar to how we have a limit to exchanging a top tier Arena tickets.
7. Reserved.

~Side Track A Bit~
In the meantime, I realise the in game chat system could still be improved (which I believed there are already threads dedicated to improve the chat system) and also to increase the things or actions and interactions that the Guild Officers can do in a guild (which I think there's also a dedicated thread for this).

Was hoping we can see some Valiant Force emoji to spice things up in the in game chat (similar to how BF and DB is doing with their Raid System).
As for the Rights, I was hoping that the GM can allocate rights for the officers to either Approve or Reject applicants and the permission to update the guild notice board.

Any comments or feedback is greatly appreciated so that we can provide insights for the developers.

P.S. I apologise if I bump an old thread, but I thought that maybe I can bring some attention here with some of the new suggestions I made, dedicated to improving the guild function.

I rather have a black market function where players post an item they want to sell and people can buy from it. Gift function might be abused for real money purchase and selling.

If we impose tax control, it would help to mitigate these illegal transaction as its not ideal to to make transaction in this case. And to top if off, limiting transaction made per day per account could help to reduce exploitation.

Since equipment and runes are not eligible to be sent as gift, the only things exploitable are either potions, gems related consumable and currency.

With gifting options, a lot of people would be really busy creating alt accounts to gift their main ;_; I mean, hello gems and golds :o
If restrictions are imposed to the point that it prevents every possible exploit i feel the amount of gift you can give or receive wouldn't be able to serve your intention for this gift system.

To be precise, a gift is a privilege and not an entitlement. It is a mutual agreement between the two involved parties.
As you have mentioned, the intention for this gift system is purely for gift and therefore the restriction is made in such a way that exploits are not possible but still possible for simple gesture such as a small reward with setback that the users are still willing to overlook but for people with bad intention, these measures are there and they will be wary of their losses. It's not meant for large amount of gems like 1k or 1million gold.
