Real time PVP arena (faceoff between real players)

In the current arena battle, your opponent's heroes are controlled by AI. TBH it is not very challenging once you figure out the how they will move following a set of pattern. What's difference its just the equipment level of each of the player as they are all controlled by a single individual (if you consider AI as an person).

How about making a real time arena to let the players fight each other, let them control the movements of their own heroes and it will evolve into more of a mind games, like execution timing of skills, predicting and counter the next moves of opponent, instead of facing the same old movement used by AI?

I strongly believe it will add more depth into the current arena system, players will need to change and adapt according to the lineup that they face more often, and they will need to learn to really cover their own weakness in their team now that it can be easily abused by the opponent, which was previously overlooked by the AI controlled heroes.

To further elaborate my point, my current arena team looks like this.

It has a simple strategy, wait for opponents to capture the points tile and i will wreck them with my full offense team. Ninja Kai even has the reach to the range unit far behind once it connects with the melee unit. If i was facing a player and this is my opponent team, i would simply pass my turn with my melee units and just use the rangers to hammer down the opponent DD, or play defensively and wait for the cd of my Mystic to finish and unleash hell on them. Because of AI unable to exploits my team weakness, its been a smooth sail for me up the arena ladder once i got a decent team... i have been playing for 47 days up until now and it starts to gets a little boring... maybe i will hit the ceiling once i am facing off the top player's team with much higher grade equips but as long as AI follows a definite set of movements, i can say the players will definitely have the upperhand in arena. Also it brings no honor in beating a friend/guildies arena squad since it was controlled by AI... it was not even close to full potential like how it was controlled by its true owner

Sorry..
I need to disagree with this and hope it will naver applied..
It will only add more cancer..
In the current system, player outsmarting AI by let them controlling tiles and erase them in few hit (that's most of player do, though there are some other strategy)
If live battle introduced then there will be more OP ranger team and you can imagine the rest..

Let's say I have 2 slayer, 1 defender, 1 mystic and 1 healer..
Matchmaking brought me team with 2 shadow, 1 slayer, 1 mystic and 1 healer..
So the battle began, I'm lucky enough to get first turn..
Usually I don't want my champions take tiles and I'm not stupid to do so this time..
I pick my healer and strike opponent heroes..
And then it's now opponent turn, he is not dumb..
He will not move his shadow just to get cleave by my champion, so he pick his mystic or healer -do same thing, strike my frontline..
This boring thing repeat until skill is ready..
The fight only depends on skill..
That's it..
No fun..

But if you have ranger team, you will be able to dominate arena..
It's easy to completely kill all opponent's hero with a few turn -thanks to triggered attack- before their skill ready..

Well, this is just my opinion..

Now that you know it will never work we will start to build our team around it, maybe more guardians/mystic/rangers instead of full melee DD unit. Swapping/pulling or force-teleporting will play a much more important role in arena to disrupt the opponent's formation

I would really love to have live arena on this game(tbh I thought arena will be a live battle before).
But based on Munilet, arena will get a huge hole in the middle if it does happen.

Yes, we may get more strategic and try to counter rangers, but with the current ranger's aura, it will be hard to counter with other classes unless you have really good equipment to sustain from their trigger auras.

I think the best way to make this plausible is to make the 'challenge tiles' position at random areas per arena matches. This will make arena more strategic at the same time somehow balanced.

Also having a separate battle matchmaking mode like a 'AI' button and 'Live' button would be nice as well from time to time. But of course you will earn more points during Live battles.

not going to work, no one will step forward. full of guardian archers healers team. end up no one kill anyone as guardian plus healer nullify archer. Plus it will be boring as hell with everyone having almost the same guardian archer team

So you want to build more Guardians..
So do other players too..
Then all player using guardian combine with 4 ranger in backline..
Or three Guardians with two Rangers..
That is another cancer..
Melee hero becoming an expedition slave..
And not everyone could build squad they want easily, so these pleayer will be melt in arena full of Guardians + Rangers hero..

Talking about swap/pull/teleport, they're only food for Rangers..
As I said before, Ranger is insane..
Their crit is same as skill especially Ranger in above 4.9k arena rating..
And they not do it once, but multiple times!
Your swapper, puller and teleporter will get killed easily in just one turn..
For them, one turn is worth for >6 combo -assuming they have at least 3 ranger..
But 2 ranger is enough if they lucky with RNG..

I liked the idea about separate arena system..
Well, let's devs decide what's best for the future of this game..
