A little background information...
3/4 Archer teams are too overpowered. I do not have the units nor resources to run a similar archer team myself and found myself skipping battles against them in order to ascend the arena ranks. By counting the teams in the top 80 ranking on the week i was active climbing, I noticed that 25% of teams run an archer team and 50% of teams in the top 10 were also archer teams. I managed to climb to the 5k mark but short of the champion title 2 weeks ago. As such, i suppose, it is still possible to get to a high rank, of course, ending the season as a champion and above is a totally different ball game which i believe is where this criticism is well justified. Otherwise, legend is a title that is nearly out of reach for most of us. So the assumption to be established within this thread is that players are complaining about archer teams that prevent them from getting champion ranks.
Most of the suggestions include ideas to nerf the archers. Some players have noticed a silent (or not) nerf alr with a new lower Crit % cap on all units.
While I detest and blame rng for matching me with archer teams, I do wish to build a team that can overcome it for what it is at this stage. I think that is where the fun lies for this game.
While many players are quick and justifiably right to conclude that the only way to counter such teams would be to also field an archer team. I do believe that there are possibilities to be explored, but are also equally resource heavy to implement and i do eventually want to try it. Side track a little here : ( for example: a team with combinations of CKs with 10k def n dodge runes, ninjas with dodge runes, 10k n above def faye.) could possibly overcome the archer team by dodging n swapping n occupying tiles and disrupting formations within the team. )
Back on the topic though, as I previously state, the percentage of archer teams still remain within a 25% chance within top 80. That said, i do think at the moment, such a percentage of archer teams should not post a problem to other team combinations in reaching top 50, as I do see other type of team makeups there that comprises of the remaining 75%.
I do however have an idea on how the archer teams and the non archer team players can both benefit from.
From past experiences, nerfing the mystics as a whole has quelled the anguish of many players, it has also brought about agony to many who have invested all their resources to build the meta team. That was a zero sum game result. I can understand why developers are hesitant to implement such changes. Therefore, why not consider a win win solution for all?
THE IDEA: PARALLEL ARENA
INTRODUCING A NEW PARALLEL ARENA THAT HAS AN EVER-CHANGING THEME!
Features:
1a) As proposed by another forum member( Marad) in one of the threads above: Limit the number of job classes that a player can field in a team every new season.
1b) 4 star heroes arena season?
2) Possible new winning objectives for the players in this new arena
3) New terrain features?
4) New rewards
Reasons:
1) Players that have achieve champion title has nothing else to look forward to. Some players even consider end game after reaching expert levels.
2) Players that have invested resources to build meta can still run their meta team on the standard arena. Players that want to crack the meta can still have the chance to do so.
3) Sometimes we do not know how RNG work for us. Imagine if a player only pulls archer heroes ever since he start his game, he have no choice but to field a full archer team. By nerfing the team completely will render him unable to climb the arena.
4) Players who wish to build old meta can still do so, while players that wish to crack the old meta have more time to build their teams.
5) Players can field 2 different teams every week to play 2 arenas. Not as limited by the existing arena orbs.
6) Since the new parallel arena will require players to field a different team combination every week, we are sure that only active players can field their teams and newbies will not end up facing high level 5 star teams.
What do you guys think?

Regards,
Frey
