Re: Faye's "Black Swan Special" Package should worry you

Not only was the price hike bad enough for a piece of cosmetic, but there's actually some people who even think the price is still too cheap and coming up with flawed analogies? Some even go as far as creating mules to post now?

Wow, just... Wow. I give up. Good luck being taken advantage of. smh.

Nah not a mule account, I've been playing since CBT but just never bothered to create an account till I saw this post. Its wondrous what people's minds can come up with when there are *gasp* people who disagree with them.

It's clear people get the gist of your message, perhaps they just don't agree with you.

Anyway I was shocked when weapon bundles were offered for cash because that is really P2W but a costume bundle? LOL.

Quite the reverse, actually. Weapon bundles offered so far haven't even come close compared to the direness of the faye costume package, something you would understood had you really gotten the message.

i know this is off topic but everyone i know is quitting or going full casual now (login only to auto).. maybe it's just my perspective but it's really demoralizing seeing everyone dropping the game. /lesigh

as for the bundle itself i agree it may be a little too much only because we were comparing with the prior ones like someone mentioned. when valiant costumes came out many of us were fully prepared to pay to get those (some games only allow "paid gems" to purchase) so it was a good surprise.

there's also the bad feeling that they *might* just be milking us or whatever you wanna call it before the game go "toh". or just testing how this bundle will do for the global launch like nightingale and some others mentioned.

again i'm not taking sides and i know most of us are just worried for the game's future.

myself don't really know what went wrong - probably the same copy paste events but some other games also feature these and they're a heck lot more popular and not getting stale but valiant force is for some reason.

they also don't do much balance patches but i think maybe because it is easy to break the balance further by changing numbers without intense testing. they try to introduce new heroes and auras to take care of it plus how aden is an arena hero so technically everyone has access to him but idk the meta is slowly shifting to another annoying one and is still feeling boring.

although the valiant rework worries me slightly unless they give us some sort of job down item just so people don't get f-ed over like in cbt (but that was cbt so nvm?) when stuff like royal huntsmen and witch doctors etc got skills reworked or aura changed/switched.

i don't really care if they do these sorts of bundles as long as they don't push it too far. i'll still support the game if i like it and see hope in its future (which sadly isn't the case atm).

maybe funplus and xiibraves can prove us wrong with future content but they're losing players (again... only from my perspective) and idk if these players will come back even with better events and changes because new mobile games always popup as i type this. who knows maybe i'm just short sighted and they're gaining more new players than retaining old ones or looking towards the future. /shrugs

Oh I get the message, I just don't agree with it. Let's just agree to disagree since you seem more concerned in convincing people your message is the one true perspective.

People shouldn't only think that it's only cosmetics and what not. Think about the future. What if this incident makes the business think "Hey, they're not buying. It's probably because it's overpriced and gives the same effects as a 400 gem costume. What if we double the bonus to justify the price increase?".

What's worrying is that it might start a trend in which only the biggest whales can afford. The game is going towards a more business centric path which is the complete opposite of when they just started. The developers need revenue but alienating players isn't the right way to do it.

Those people saying "who cares" doesn't have the slightest idea of the issue. The issue is not about what's happening right now but rather what else might happen in the future if they continue wih this business model.

Please rethink your words. Unless it's a one time experiment, this is going to be a quick road to the pit.

Will op add another choice to the poll to "wait till next event, and then worry or not". The devs might still be testing or whatever. Lets see till the next event if this trend will continue, then quit if you like.

And what is wrong with being more business centric? The game after all, IS a business for the developers. They are accountable to their investors and shareholders who have pumped money and resources plus responsible for the livelihood of their staff. If this business move alienates the majority of their customers and affects their bottom line, you can be sure they will make changes to their business model and decisions. If not, it's business as usual.

the costume price change sure can be concern, but the "black Swan Special" package is no problem for sure :\

After going through all the comments, I am still not sure what is the issue here. The Black Swan package removes all RNG factors for a reasonable price, yet everyone is focused on the 15 Valianites. Of course the dev wants people to buy the bundle, the Valianite pricing is just a bonus for those who have that much Valianites lying around.

The package is SGD 40+, with a CONFIRMED Faye, CONFIRM costumes, and a 5* equipment SELECTOR. All without the RNG element. More value than a 10x roll hoping to get a Faye. Those with Faye can Limit Break as well.

I haven't bought the package nor costume, busy farming for my 4th sword in Legendary. Still winning those Fayes with costume in the Arena. Hmn.
