I get what u mean. I agree with it and i too like the scenarios but all of those in my point of views, wont work in this game. Just because of just 1 reason, ranged heroes dont have range limits.Usually in strategy games and rts there are 5 kind of maps/modeWhen then, what kind of tactics would you suggest then?Yeah but making a unit stand and be a meat shield without using any skill/aura it's in my opinion the opposite of being a "tactics" game..
Right now my arena fight are so boring that i'm thinking to drop them out until they put a new meta or new hero that could shake a little the game..
At least for the Arena, currently, there are 2 methods of winning.
1) Get 100 points first
2) Kill opposing team before 100 points are gotten.
Essentially, strategies would need to focus on the 3 general types I've stated in the above post. So units would need to do just that. What else would you like them to do if not aiming for any of those 3 strategies?
Defend the point
Eliminate all the enemies
Resist for X turns
Take the point
Protect Hero X
I think they should make the arena team more wide, and trigger on any new fight 1 of this modes.
In this way arena team would be not locked in a boring meta, and all the heroes could find a spot in both pvp and pve sides..
They could put a random hero in the middle of the arena and one of the 2 team has to protect it.
They could put a far place to conquer and both the team has to reach it before the other one.
They could put a big buff on the enemy team and you have only to survive for X turns.
All of this in only one Arena mode.
Every fight is randomized by enemy team, and when you start the fight even the Objective is randomized.
That could be a great way to make a pvp sistem interesting
Meaning players are just gonna use ranged heroes and snipe away. I too have thought some of your ideas but it kept me back coz of this reason.
Malee heroes will be just unrealistic and will stuck with ranged ones. Movement are stuck with 1 plot at a time. Rune magus will be op. Players just need to take out the ones that becomes a threat.
Example: ninja, assassin, dragoon, gladiator and any malee heroes that can do cc skills which where these heroes can be 1shot at best with rangers.
I think alot, i mean tons of rebalancing work need to be done to make it viable in this game. Not that vf need to rework on just the heroes, the need to rework the whole game itself.
