So I just purchased this kit... and noticed there was no prestige points awarded... was this intended? ...

Hi there, Prestige Points are allocated if:

1. The pack itself has Prestige Points
2. The pack itself contains gems
3. Direct purchase of gems

Hence, purchase of packs without gems (or Prestige Points) will not grant any Prestige Points.
