Missed the part about versus-ing friends and guild mates. That could work. You could perhaps issue a challenge that will be received as a notification by your friends/guild mates and they can then choose to accept the challenge issued.

I think the team has talked about this, but it is further down the line of implementation. The current major milestone is still to fill the game with content and launch globally first :)

But yeah, live PVP is something up in the air for the future. 

Game is not even 6-months old, give us time :D

Glad to hear from you on this matter Admin Ryozanki. I do understand that the VF team got its hands full right now.  I only intend to float this idea around and perhaps the dev team can include this in the future roadmap of VF.  However, its one of the game features I am looking forward to in the game. Wishing you a successful global launch VF team.

Real-Time Arena can certainly work in Valiant Force just like Blizzard's Hearthstone.

Real Time Matching
1. When players tap on the match button, they will be sent into a queue system.
2. The system will match players in the queue with the closest rank.
3. Match will begin within 10 seconds - no repick allowed.
4. Player may cancel the match, but will be penalized with the match button disabled for 10 minutes.

In Case of Away From Keyboard / Disconnected Players
1. In Arena Battle - there will be a countdown timer of 15 seconds.
2. If the player does not take any action when the countdown expires, A.I. will take action on behalf of the player for that turn.

Unranked Arena (versus AI)
Players will only earn ordinary rewards such as:
• Gold
• Express Ticket
• EXP Potion
• Hammer - Bronze

Ranked Arena (versus Human)
Players will earn much better rewards such as:
• Blood Token / Gem / Valianite
• Selector - Hero / Equipment / Rune / Costume
• Hammer - Silver / Gold

BIG NO from me. real time PVP for friends/guildmate might be ok. but please don't turn this game into those kind of competitive PVP (clash royale?), Current arena is quite fun for me, and it's rewarding enough for me to do it regularly.  changing ranked arena into PVP will make it a totally different type of game. and not all player like those kind of competitive PVP. 
a new tournament with different prize set maybe ok, but I will be blunt to say this kind of tournament will probably only favor P2W and MAY further create a gap with those F2P.

Maybe we can have one arena where you use heroes and gear you've collected and another live arena where everyone uses the same heroes and gear and battles are decided by player tactics only?

tbh, battling AI is getting boring so I think implementing Live battles would be awesome.

Okay, I'm only throwing some ideas I have :)

The arena should have two different modes; AI and live. Well, it's obvious that AI mode is the same as the current system have. As for the live mode, there's no rating thingy here and the matchmaking is based on AI mode's "rating", I know people will worry about the whale vs seaweed battle so "Prestige level" will also play the role on matchmaking. And just like the AI mode, live mode will have a seperate orb container :)

Perhaps we can have an arena matching system similar to League of Legends?
e.g. Based on Win/Loss Ratio instead of 'Arena Points'.

For Example:
A player with Win/Loss Ratio of 40:60 will be matched to another player with 45:55.
Players with Win/Loss Ratio of 90:10 will be matched against players with similar or better ratios such as 95:5.

In connection to this, I am also hoping for a separate Arena league in the future where orb recharge is disabled. In the current arena scene, the victor is only determined by who can purchase the most gems for recharge. I will no longer push for disabling gem recharge for the current arena, but I hope a separate arena will be made where it will not be a pay to win arena.
