I thought I was the only one who noticed the boom in number of Squads with Ronans out there before seeing this thread! To be honest, Ronan is way stronger than Zedd due to the points already said in this thread and I think this is the mage's renaissance in the arena so I made one myself too and got happy with the results but at the same time, I feel that we are again heading to the direction where specific teams lead the rankings in arena instead of a very diverse and beautifully different squads with various strategies! So, Im 50% Happy and 50% Sad.

The fact that you need a specific hero (Faye) to counter it speaks for itself.

Faye has rendered other Guardian classes useless aside from CK who still has uses because of their swap mechanics. Meanwhile, Ronan makes it even worse for guardians because he made Faye more "mandatory" to survive this specific hero who is now gaining popularity very fast. On the other hand, have we all forgotten how the mage class is trash tier in VF simply because 1 Mage is doing very well? I'm afraid this will prompt the dev team to nerf Ronan which would indirectly nerf the mage class as a whole as well, rendering them even more useless that they already are.

I firmly believe that Ronan stands out simply because other mages suck so hard. Ronan can devastate teams but mages are meant to do that - albeit having a high cooldown. The simplest way of balancing him is to increase his skill CD timer AND buff other mages to his level.

2 Ronans more powerful - NERF!!!

Hmn... I am sure there are other methods rather than just nerfing strong combinations.

Well, the random hit concept is good, but it deals way too much damage for 6 turn skills. Compare it with Sharpshooter skill that needs more turn and only hit 1 enemy. 

Maybe they can also apply the same idea as normal atk, where the damage reduced for every unit they hits. So it goes like, 140% on first hit, then 120% > 100% > 80% and 60% (This reduction numbers are only for example)

Because i think increasing the skill turn is a bit too devastating for Ronan. 

This is actually a nice idea, i myself own two ronan and i do feel like hes a little op compare to Kierra(errr....not so valiant maybe).

Ronan is old hat now. Warlock Talissa is the new top mystic damage.
