Costumes - Use "original" 2d/3d, but apply costume stat bonus

Hi,
I would like to suggest the option to allow us to retain the original 2d/3d art, but allowing us to benefit from the stat boost if we own a costume. In fact, I would like it also if we can use the 3* art or so as well. Shizu and Freya got nice 3* arts. >.<

+1 to this. I like Samurai shizu for her art.

Then it's not a costume anymore, I guess?

Plus one to this :>
Just promoted my kane to sharpshooter and planning to put him on mainsquad later (just because sharpshooter outfit looks BADASS).
I'd love the feature to enable/disable costume appearance while keeping the stats effect there.

We can just put a toggle to apply visual change or not. We all have our own preferences. Why should we lose out in stat battles just because we prefer the original art?

I'm not against the idea. I know we have our own "taste". It's just that it diminishes the concept of the "costume" that in order to gain the bonuses stats, this wardrobe should be worn. What do you think?

I understand your idea completely. In the first place however, "costumes" should only purely be for aesthetics/visual purposes, not for stat wars. Sure, if the devs want to add stats to costumes to justify the premium price, I don't really mind. The fine line on costumes and equipment should be drawn nonetheless. In the current case, costumes are already being treated as an equipment and not as something for aesthetics.

like above mentioned i like some of the original art (actually chose some classes based on the art rofl), and would not want to even buy the costumes just because of that reason alone.
if we can retain the stats it would be cool although ferico makes a good point (especially if more costumes get introduced - with different stats maybe like in other games), i would like to have a small hope that this suggestion would get considered at least! xD

The costume helps you to identify whether the enemy hero in arena has the bonus stat from costume or not, though the bonus stat is quite small, a little 100 or something.
I think it's ok to have an option to disable the display of the costume because it doesn't affect anything in anyway. People want every extra bit of the bonus they can get and they don't really mind how is it going to affect the visual effect.
On the argument of "disabling the display of costume defeats the purpose of buying custome at the first place". Yes it is a custome mainly for the visual effect and the bonus stat are just something in addition to attract people to buy them. But being logical isn't the main focus here anymore. I mean, how does wearing bras and undies makes you stronger? It's freaking winter out there. Having a little customer pleasing by adding this additional option might be good to both parties.
In future, it may never be possible to hide the display of a costume because doing so doesn't really affect gameplay or any other thing, people would just move on in the game. Though it may be possible in future if devs are too bored or they find this idea interesting?
P.S: Was this thread got necro'd?

Bad idea, it's a costume! It's like cosplay! You can't walk without costume and gain powers? Power rangers are only strong when in suit!
The good thing about costumes is them being seasonal!
