Faith Re-roll System - Community feedback needed

Hello community,

Thank you for the weeks of awesome suggestions and feedback! While we do not actively reply to all threads, rest assured that the development team has been hearing your voices and will be doing our best to balance the games for everyone.

There are many who have expressed concerns about the Faith Re-roll System, hence we opened up this thread to consolidate all feedback about this feature right here. For us, the Faith Re-roll System is meant to be a feature for high-level players, certainly not for those who are just a few weeks into the game.

Do fill us in on what you are recommending or suggesting to improve the Faith Re-roll System. We will read through everything, but take note that we cannot promise there will be any changes coming soon. 

However, nothing is impossible when the community's voices are united as one!

These are some of the better recommendations from previous posts:

1. Replace sacrificed Card's Faith into the Hero
2. Using more number of lower rarity card to reroll
3. Using same Hero (Kai) at any rarity to reroll, your Hero (Kai) faith
4. Option to manually select Faith for each reroll

Our aim is still to keep Faith Reroll as a high-level and end-game feature, so let us hear more of your voices!

With option 1 or 2 it's ok! I understand your idea to make Faith System for veteran players and I think it's your choice to do whatever you want with this. But the problem is that is TOO MUCH OBVIOUS that's only for veteran players, and beginners are being frustrated, even some of them may delete the game for this simply reason...
I personally think that equipment, rune and "increasing the level cap fusing the same hero" system, it's enough for veteran players.

I’m against complete randomization of a Hero’s faith when rerolling, we already have Gachas which already leave us at the mercy of RNG and the rates are bad as it is already. If it were up to me, I would like some form of control to reroll to the faith I want. While the recommendations are there I just want to point out a few things good or bad from each of them.

The first recommendation to replace sacrificed card’s faith into the Hero. I welcome this, but this can be too easy if it can be any card regardless of rarity. Make it percent chance at least? If the sacrifice is the faith I want maybe a 50% chance for a 5* to succeed? Lower rarity lower chance?

The second recommendation to use more number of lower rarity card to reroll. If we are not talking about using duplicates of lower rarity then its fine. If we are then can you imagine the chances of acquiring duplicates in Gachas? It’s not like we can roll Gachas every day or every week. In the future more Heroes getting released means the pool will increase, lowering the chances of getting duplicates. Aside from the gems we get from daily quests and achievements, the amount is not enough for a 400 gem pull. Even the source from achievements will run out eventually, then where can we farm for gems to sustain in the long run? Farming for premium currency is not a bad idea and has worked for many games, it should be a thing. Getting a duplicate Valiant is another story, I know we get 1 3* free every month but if rerolling is randomized and I get another crap faith then that’s 1 month wasted.

The third recommendation to use the same Hero of any rarity to reroll the same Hero. Same opinion as recommendation number two.

The fourth recommendation to manually select faith for each reroll. This is as easy as recommendation number one. Okay, maybe the easiest out of the four.

I would like to give a recommendation of my own, I don’t know if it has been suggested or no but I’d like to recommend it either way and that is creating new currency for the faith system. Very much similar to Job keys, but instead of Job Relics you get Faith Relics (They are deities after all so why not an instrument of worship?). So changing faiths require certain amount of specific faith relics (Make this for job switching as well with job relics?). But why stop there, why not have a levelling system for faith as well? We currently can train our Heroes to +1/+2, we can have that for faith, the higher the level the bigger the stat bonus according to grade. This idea may sound like a game changer to some or making it sound like faith is a big deal. But modifying faith is designed to be an end game thing after all.

I don’t know if I’m writing all this correctly, personally I’m tired of faith topics already… So if there’s any mistakes or If I’m contradicting myself (which I'm good at), let me know. Thanks for reading!

I think that all the mechanic aroud the faith is wrong right now.
Almost everything with the exeption of the job advancment require the player to sacrifice gold and fodders.
That would be great if we could grind or manage to take many fodders/gold by daily quest or events, but that's not the case of this game.

To take 400 gems for the 10 pulls you need a week or even more of farm.
And the achivments don't give nice rewards at all, you never feel satisfy or accomplish anything by them, because the rewards are really lacking, as the rewards of daily login (for the exeption of the 7th reward of every week)


I think that before thinking on changing the faith sistem, you should change the overall rewards of the game.
If the rewards of the game will be enough to make the player achive something that give him satisfaction over the hours spent, then the faith reroll it would be not a problem anymore (especially because is a really endgame feature)

My thought:

1) This sounds good.  With the current system, to reroll faith for a 5*-able unit, you will need another 5* unit. However, the RNG could ruin it resulting in a less desirable faith for your class. This option will fix the problem. Its not easy to obtain a 5*-able unit that has your wanted faith anyway. 

2) This option looks decent, but it isnt much different from the current system. You could waste away ten or hundred of lower rarity cards and not get the faith you are aiming for. Its still too heavily based on RNG.

3) No way, why would you want to sacrifice the same hero for reroll unless you are a big whale. For end game, this should be kept to perfect your team, that is for limit breaking purpose.

4) This is even easier than option number 1, too easy in fact. Any 400 gems 10x hero summon should net you at least one 5*-able unit, unless you are very very unlucky. 

So, from all those options, I vote for number 1.

My suggestion:

As the Mod said faith is meant to be a sort of end game feature, why not remove the faith re-rolling system that we currently have (which involves using a unit with the same maximum evo as the base unit) to some thing that requires a particular item?

For example, faiths represent a certain deity and has a impact on how the stat bonuses are given out. Would it be possible to implement some sort of farmable "relic" that enables us to change the faith to what we desire ? this could be some rare item in high level conquest/event boss or something similar that requires you to have a pretty strong team to handle or co-op with guild members. 

Or you can nerf the overall stat bonues given between different faiths, this might alleviate some of the difference between the stat gaps.

But if we were to choose from the given options i would take 2 or 4.

A farm-able relic which only drops from Legendary bosses will be the ultimate challenge.

How about just simply locking the feature until Legendary mode is unlocked?
