buying gems or any bundle will net you prestige 'exp' which you will gain level up in prestige.
in some cases, the bundle will offer NO gems at all, but will state how much prestige point it will give at the bottom of the page.
as for the Gem Bonus is the Shop, eg. If you buy the Emiko Pack, you will earn 100 from it, and will not gain extra from the login bonus (25 gem daily)
eg.2 if you bought the 625gem+625gem, you will get 1250 points from it, where else if you buy 625gem again, you will only get 625 points.

Spend cash (i.e. real money) and buy in-game stuff like gems.

you can only gain prestige via buying in-game gems, however some package does include prestige.
just have to take note that not all package includes prestige, but if that package includes gems then you'll gain that exp according to the amount of gems.
