Faye HD vs PA

Thu Dec 29, 2016 1:57 pm

Why do most people suggest paladin Faye for PVP? Isn't the ability to remove stealth and invincibility (assuming they can be removed) far superior when the meta is full of such skills?

My personal opinion paladin group shield + reflect + magic damage to all party on a very short cooldown is much better . zedd skill he kills himself other aoe heroes also commit suicide on group. Stealth only prevents single targeting u can counter pretty easy or disable before stealth

Paladin shield is up before Vincent zerk skill works 2 ways withstanding his attack and countering his backlash when used by yourself

The + magic is also nice for healers . turn heals get a big boost because its 5% from Faye's HP.

But HA shines in pve .

Although somehow using faye I don't need taunt everyone already auto targets Faye already

Probably the most important reason is that Taunts do not work in PvP, so shields work better on a normal basis. Additionally, reflected dmg is higher without dmg reduction, as such, pally Faye is slightly more advantageous, since once she casts shield, you can just least her at a side tile, protecting the main tank or another unit with dmg absorb and reflect. HD can't tank in place of another unit because no taunt.

Im leaning towards Paladin initially since that Shield+Reflect looks better in paper. Not to mention Paladin's faye has greater chance of procuring than the HD's counterpart. However, I'm having second thoughts and now leaning towards Holy Defender, pvp-wise. In reality, that Buff Removal from HD's skill is more prominent against a lot of shield buffs from Lucille/Faye/Teresa! :)

hey sorry a bit off topic, but i got a question. is the reflect really post-mitigation? if that's true then its terrible design-wise. the tougher you are the less you reflect. i thought it's like some of world of warcraft's reflect skills which are pre-mitigation, so no matter how strong you get, you don't gimp your reflect.

I cant verify that, but I using victoria paladin now, so when enemy hit me, i got slight damage and they got a high amount. So I believe its pre migitation, after the reflect, the remaining is the damage and the reduction comes in.
