For the moment a 400 pull gives you 1 4* hero guarantee. But it could sadly be a monster.
I know some newcomers who do 2-3 times 400 gems pull, but end up with none 5 stars capable hero and decide to quit...
I'd love it if we have some improvement to the bonus pull and if possible an option to pick different boxes for different type of bonus pull, for example,
Box 1 bonus: 4* job-selectable hero guarantee (Choose whether you would like blue, red, green, yellow type hero)
Box 2 bonus: 5* capable hero guarantee (Heroes which can advance to 5*, come in 3* form)
Box 3 bonus: Event hero guarantee (Hero for current event guarantee, like Winry)
The box bonuses can change according to events and such.
Some limitations can also be imposed, maybe allow only a certain amount of pull per month.
And maybe create a beginner box, every account can only open once, but give good bonus.

I think the dev team is trying very hard not to be perceived as P2W by offering too many cash packages or bundles.

I'm hoping that with limitations to these special boxes, like a limit of once or twice per month, it would be more beneficial for F2P players rather than being a P2W thing.
For F2P or low to mid spender they probably only manage to do a certain amount of pull per month. So these boxes would guarantee them something.
For P2W, if they need some hero they would just spam 400 pull anyway, so after reaching the limit pull for each special box, they would have to go back to the "normal" 400 pull.

This is actually a good suggestion, but honestly speaking I don't see it coming until for another year or so... The hero pool is simply too small now.

In my opinion, rather than making weird pull like that, why not make something like beginner's gacha pull?
from what I know, many game has this kind of function, It's something like cheaper gacha(10x pull) than the normal gacha and with slightly better drop rate and could only do it once per ID, I think this kind of things will solve problem with newbie gacha.
and because it's only available for once per ID, I think it won't hurt the game balance. Because I think if you make gacha too easy, it'll kind of lose the charm.

Its true. The 400 gem pull rate is trash. Before official i been playing 2 ID. Both 800 gem = trash. The trash i mean is non 5* potential character. Then i quit. After that official launched i was like ok.. give it another go. Then first 400 gotten a 5* potential. Well yeah 2 5* on my team including my first valiant. Then another 800 = trash. Give up. Its not like i dont give the game a chance. I gave them 3. They just kept me away.
