Re: Is The Player Base Dropping?

I'm really committed to the game but i felt really compelled to play the events which is held daily. Kinda tiring and i know its just a mindset issue but heck we're asians we want a good deal out of everything. I really feel drained out with the events juggling with work & social life, perhaps devs could do a little pause in between events regardless if its a filler (the fillers are also frigging competitive because of the bazaar exchange, mindset problem again).

Well I would really want to take reference to Kantai Collection, a really simple RNG collectable game, two years later and i'm still playing it :)
Their events are held once every season with occasional fillers and boy it's damn fun even if the level of difficulty can be challenging. Gives the game some longevity.

Another thing i've noticed is the advertising of the game isn't that strong anymore. Pre-launch it was really exciting and i looked forward to playing it even though i failed to enter CBT.
same for me. i want to do some other stuff but if i do that i really feel i would lose something because of not doing the event instead.

Yes a little pause between events are good.

New joiners coming upon seeing the events are going to try it out instead of story mode, find events too tough and decide to quit.

For normal players, we also want to do some other stuff like complete story mode, farm abit of material etc etc. I started after launch so had no chance to complete halloween so went on to do story mode but right after halloween, had being doing events 100%. had not touched story mode for a long long time.

Perhaps an event period can be substituted with new story line introduced, I don't mind act 5!

A break would be good. I wanna build my team a big and the continuous events hinder the progress a lot. But not many games give players a break between events. I doubt VF would choose the non-grinding path

I'm surprised to see so many people asking for a break. You have the choice right now to spend the stamina wherever you believe will benefit you the most.

If we have a gap in events, there will be a lot more players complaining that there is nothing to do and that other games push out content much faster.

Well it is true indeed that the population of the game is decrasing.

People making apply to guild (i have 2 atm) are really low, even if the guild is a levl 26+ and 25 people ask to join only 1 on a couple of day or even less..
And in the same time i see the guild chats (line) being a lot less active (regarding the game)

I really don't get why but people are losing really fast their interest about the game

To be honest, VF is the only mobile game that has a constant event update and I like it! It really is stressful since it builds demand to acquire new heroes, build your existing ones, and play competitively at the same time but it gives me new perspective on how to "Time and Task Manage" :). I actually dont mind the the player base dropping (Fewer competition xD) but at the same time worried with how far VF will reach given this circumstances. :)

I think a possible reason for the drop is due to the pull rates of 5 star potential heroes. It can be stressful and heartbreaking for a new player to pull 3x10 pulls and not get anything useful (all hail chicken lord!) .
Another might be due to PVP, which is absolutely brutal to new players, with added salt from the losing messages that pop up (which some people may or may not like).
Gameplay does get a bit grindy long term imo though the harder levels proved to be quite a nice challenge.

Storywise, i kinda wish they give us more dialogue after we complete like 3 missions, current one doesnt really flesh out the characters very well, a good reference for story could be brave frontier. I really enjoy unlocking the levels just to progress on the story.
