What I believe is, the only feature is that you can retain the old faith or aura or suffix but you still lost the sacrifice. The good thing is that you won't go worse than what you have. Bad thing is, you still might not be able to get the faith you want, until luck stays with you.

I don't know how to describe. Probably more easy or customizable.

I understand and get your points and they are valid to "reduce" to a certain point the unpredictability of the RNG results in rerolling. I'm just actually concerned that this compliment the feature of changing equipment to perfect suffixes and that diminishes the value of "Every squad is unique since we are all affected by choice of runes, faiths, equipment, squad composition, etc.". Like we're heading to a utopian world where everything is perfect .

There can never be a utopian in online game, unless you are playing a single player offline game.

You Mister Taiyouna think exactly like me, if some skills and auras were not always based on the same status we could have different proper faiths for different jobs of the same Hero. Diversity is a thing in 2017.

I agree with you Mister Ferico, people want a perfect world, but will they have fun in this perfect world? Where everything is the same and perfect? I don't think so, but this happened because too many people are against a lot of aspects of VF, and we, people that don't want so radical chances choose to be in silence mode for too long. I hope devs make polls again to listen to everyone, no just false White Knight.
On topic, this new system is the one with the lessen impact in game, the other systems being teased will be way too worse! sadly

Boys, I reckon this is as far as the developers are willing to go with regards to the whole "rework faith/aura reroll" saga. No real "rework" is going to come, so we'll have to make do with what they are going to give us and continue our (potentially) meaningless sacrifices of 5* units.


Profits come above all else, and the next big money grab is gonna be an aura selector meant for valiants priced way costlier than the one meant for non-valiants.


The message the devs are sending is "Look, we have already compromised by giving you this "rework" so be satisfied, because this is as much as we are willing to give you without harming our profits." Of course, for the sake of the community, I would love to be proven wrong, but I guess time will tell...

Kek, keep telling yourself that, mah boi! If they wanted it, coding of this degree could be done in hours, lmao!


Heck, they probably copied Brave Frontier's "faith system" on a whim but be like "holy moley, we struck oil!" when players felt that their valiants were imperfect and made a huge uproar about the cost to reroll for a chance to redeem their imperfection.


"Hmm... how am I to make money out of this?" 


After so much discussions and insightful comments that offered respectable and reasonable reroll cost alternatives, they simply decided to make it a quick cash grab by allowing one to choose their non-valiant's aura while testing the waters for an even bigger cash grab - one meant for valiants.
