I got Maleos from my 2nd Halloween Card 
As a newbie, that was a big surprise. I even click the skip button, because I thought I will get a fodder.

Friend unit totally help a lot for this quest. But the poison still kill them fast... 

I always wanted to try out Maleos. Devs were saying he is strong even without equips. Do update us on how useful he is~

I get that error before. Try restarting app, log in later, or reinstall game (fastest way).

I literally skipped the Lulu event when I started as I was just wasting energy for it. I focused on leveling up and I was able to complete the next event which was the Aaria event. You should probably skip for now as it costs 5 energy to do the easiest one and it's not a good investment for newbies.

i agree, i started 28 days ago and was not able to perform well on Aaria event until i rushed the heroes and equipment, managed to complete only 50%
but now i am more prepared for this halloween event, but i only wish that the 2 gacha quests are not so bad
i heard someone spending 30k pumpkins and still have clear those gacha quests....

After optimizing some equipment and units, I can now kill 36 units~ and get 70-100 jack o treat. I plan to finish the event (do the "clear 250 event quest") so I should get about 20000 jack o treat. Should I use these to purchase halloween ticket? Or should I keep farming until I get 25000 to buy the ring or the wing?

The ring or wing alone is pretty useless. Even getting 2 of them means breaking up other 3-4* sets. For players with limited pumpkins I think tickets or other items is the way to go.

Haven't bought pumpkin chest before but i would say the rate should be pretty poor. 
It depend on the need of each individual, there are no such thing as must buy. Personally i have only bought 2x 300k gold so far. Saving the rest to buy Halloween tickets to try and get 100% on the event achievement first and if there are any leftover point i will get to get rune. 

Tbh with that candy per run, its better to just lvl up and getting more equipment.
Buut, after they update the Bazaar list, u can actually exchange ur candy for a *4 set armor, which is quite powerfull for early game IMO
