Re: F2P is officially dead.

Stating facts. I shall be damned if any of what I said is untrue. And glad to help a local dev as well, that's all.

Nothing is for free, they are already very generous with free stuff.
Wow..just yesterday and already nearing 200 post. This event sure make people talking. Im with hanzo in this.

I think they dint know that aria and lulu during cbt were like this before. The concept is there, so the dev use it. Only the battle format changes. The new players, they dint experienced it so they whine about it. Do consider that in cbt too have f2p yet they still can make something out of it.

If 1 thing that i want to rant n piss is the damn sera pulls, 10x10 pulls with just 1 sera? Come on dev. Why so 180 compare to winry pulls.
Actually the rewards changed quite a bit since then, exclusive event heroes were accessible in several copies through various event quest completions. Right now our event exclusive hero 'Kahuna' is only available through 100% completion (which some have already given up hope to achieve), and the Bazaar with a wooping 1k unrefined gems (which a lot have to sacrifice other rewards for it).
Maybe Kahuna will go to the summon pool?  This could explain why they don't want us to get too many copies of him...

After reading so many threads and posts, it occurs to me that one of the reason many people comment about stuffs like drop rates, difficulties, rewards, F2P, P2W and such is because they know the developer actually listens and is willing to make improvements where necessary. That's one good thing I love about this game and one of the things we may take for granted.

I'm sure they will always make improvement to the events to balance things. Since the beginning i rarely see them use the same event format, always adjusting difficulties and listen to complaints from players. Bazaars didn't use to exist, event loot was just merely another trash item and they made change to that. Guide quest didn't exist but they added that. Event heroes used to be less useful and they added some stat bonus and also made 4* limit break heroes stronger. 5 stars hero were never available for exchange from events earlier but this time they add that. Previously Gems weren't available to exchange and they also added that.

Yes, it can still be better and not everyone is satisfied. They must have planned these events long ahead, like last month I read somewhere they were already planning Christmas event. It's also their first time running these events, maybe player feedback wasn't as they intended. To ease the complaints, they did make some changes along the way as deemed necessary but maybe they are not able to change ongoing events so much, because it was already planned out. So yeah, if anyone have an idea on improvements for future events, balancing between f2p, p2p, beta players and new players, don't forget to post your suggestions in the feedback and suggestion area of the forum so the devs can actually consider to implement it.  Future events are gonna be awesome :)
yeah, man, I already played a lot of mobile games, and their devs kept telling that they were listening to feedback, only to change things when there was an uproar in the community. A game lives and dies py their players and their community, this game is already special because of this, there are many good people here, the devs and the forum users, if they player complain is because they really love the game, or else they would just uninstall without going to a forum to express himself.

They probably don't want player get 6 Kahuna(s) in the first time so, they can rerun event sometimes in the future.
I doubt he will be in summon pool since he has only Sage path....

Yeah..understandable coz its a 5* hero. Dont look at the prize, why are u looking at the prize if u cant comply with the requirement of the achievement.

There is bazaar now. The different is simple, if i remember correctly the energy used in lulu and aria ia pretty much lower hence more token we will get. Correct me if im wrong.

As u know for the lower players, energy is scarse. They cant catch up to it but hey, in 2 days i get around 400 gems. If they maximized the energy everyday. They can still get a copy or 2 of kahuna by the end of the event.

And we all know how vf teams works, they tend to change it at the last minute of the event due to players feedback. Why spend the gems early on during event. I was supprise in feedback pools people dont want the bazaar to drop the amout of gems use to redeem the prize

So in conclusion, im not talking about the reward, im not saying about the reward, im not reffering to the reward. Im talking about the requirement to complete the achievement. Its so much similar to lulu and aria, not 100% still somewhat similar if u change it to tokens.

Now..u got what im saying. Forget about the prize if u cant comply with the requirement.
I think if the new players compared this event with the first two, they definitely have more reason to be angry about it. It is about how accessible event exclusive heroes are after all, doesn't matter how high they can be promoted to. Isn't what this discussion is all about? It seemed to have sidetracked in this way.

The Developers and even the Moderators have hinted they will return at some point in the future, especially Lulu and Aria. I doubt they will go into the summon pool but probably in another event where their 5* versions gets released.

Then this guy claimed to have summoned x2 Lulu earlier today, this is news to me since her event was over so long ago and I never heard or seen anyone pulled one since then or ever, until now...

Yeah, I read a lot about it, they somehow had implied that Lulu could go to the summon pool in some post, can't remember where... The user that you're talking surprised me as well, but he had corrected himself, it was a Luna.
Also one difference is that Kahuna is a 5*, this could suggest he going to summon pool in the future, but he has limited job paths, so maybe not.

Seems that I need to change my spec too (I don't actually wear one). So sorry about that. xD

A lot of the people here dont seem to understand the point of the argument most of the players are making. This is barely the 2nd event since launch and it already is actively excluding the bulk of people from higher difficulty/100% completion, even those that did spend a substantial amount.

If the tone the developers want to set is "we value you only if you spend or have been here since beta" then yes this is the correct approach. New games generally increase their difficulty together with the playerbase, so that its still possible for day 1 players to compete, and a player that say started yesterday would have to spend or do a lot of work to catch up. This is clearly not the path that Valiant Force is opting for.

As it is now, even day 1 and some beta players have difficulty in the event, who are they expecting to clear their events if this is the case, and there is no indication the difficulty will keep increasing event after event? For all we know f2p will be stuck farming story mode forever with some of the suggestions the beta crowd is giving.

what's damn bloody annoying about this event is that if you don't kill the chest with gems inside before his skill turn is up, some ogre will come and steal it away.. which means you get 0 unrefined gems.

close the game immediately, relog, resume the battle, focus on the chest that is stolen.
