It's very simple if you think like this,"People living in the city can easily obtain drinking water" vs "Countries like Africa, the natives have to walk miles just to take water from a well." The event reward is the water. You can think of the urban people as the P2W while the Africans are F2P (This is just an analogy, an example). Is it their fault for being born poor?
Imo, this is a bad analogy.
You should compare it to people living in a building.
You can only take the lift 5 times a day and the lift is powered by people who made the lift. (they need to be paid as well)
Reward is those who can complete a curtain task = get some rubies and prizes
People who pay, they get to take the lift the most = easiest time
People who dont pay, they have limited time to take the lift and they need to walk the stairs = harder time
But along the way, everyone still get some rewards
2-4* equipment drops, farm some unrefined gem, can farm for 3-5* hero tickets, you still get the 4* rogue set from completing most quest and im aiming for that. You can get a 5* potential kahuna if you farm enough. Its like a HERO SELECTOR for kahuna(you should know how expensive is that when the bundle pop up for 4-5* ticket) and its a 3-5* hero. Its not a max 4* hero.
Previous event, some people grind like mad, still didnt get the 5* jailor or maleos. I was fortunate, i opened around 350 tickets and got 6 jailor and 1 maleos. I have friend who opened 800 tickets and got 1 jailor and 0 maleos. Is that fair to them? What can they do about it if they want the event hero? open 2000 tickets? 3000? what if they still didnt get it? is that fair?
Now you can get this 5* kahuna as long as you have 1000 unrefined gems.
Isnt this more fair to everyone? instead of just blaming RnG.
1000 unrefined gems = 1 confirmed kahuna
1000 tickets = ??? jailor and maleos, maybe none
And those complaining about wanting to LB kahuna to lv 40, you can ask the low P2P/CBT players how hard is it for normal heros like vincent to LB to lvl 40. 2-3 months and they still didnt have 5 vincents to LB to lvl 40. You want 5 kahuna in 2 weeks?
If you can easily get 5 kahuna in just 2 weeks, whats the point of having other classes? Just wait for event, get 5X 5* event hero and LB him to lv 40 and steam roll everyone?
F2P = Get equipment and all those state above
P2P = get more rubies and event completion prize
F2P = win
P2P = win
Whats there to complain about? i dont understand?
Im only prestige 3 btw, i bought emiko package twice(CBT player), early bird + 1 energy bundle.
*to add on, i understand some people face difficulty in this event, but you guys make it like its the end of this world and the end of the game*
Hi, thanks for the reply. I took your consideration seriously and try to understand the gist of your "Lift Analogy" but there are something that I find it hard to relate.
As a FM, I roughly know how an actual lift work after several maintenance checks. Most common lifts use Traction System so I assume you're referring to a Traction Elevator. A traction elevator is driven by geared machine which is normally a high-speed electric motor driving the hoisting sheave, something like a pulley system.
You mention that a person can take the lift 5 times a day and that the lift is powered by people who made the lift and they get paid for "powering" the lift.
1. This I find it weird is that a lift is not limited to how many times you
can take but rather, the number of times you
have to take. Using the term "can" is referring to the serviceability issue which is normally a good 20 years for a replacement of a new lift if you maintain it periodically. The replacement that comes after 20 years take into account the life cycle cost.
2. The people are paid for "powering" or operating the lift does not require effort to operate it on a daily basis. A lift is a machine and a system set to run automatically after inputting codes and figures. The only time when labor is involved is when the maintenance crews come in for inspection, maintenance and breakdown.
Now when you say "Reward is those who can complete a curtain (i assume it as certain, "e" and "u" is 3 keys apart) task = get some rubies and prizes".
This I agree with you as I've stated,"those who do not work do not get to eat". When a person is capable of supporting himself, he or she has to commit her own effort to survive in this world.
"People who pay, they get to take the lift the most = easiest time
People who dont pay, they have limited time to take the lift and they need to walk the stairs = harder time"
People take the lift not because it's easier but because it's more convenient. People who don't pay for the lift have to walk the stairs?
I'm not sure why but if a lift is in a building, it starts from the 1st floor up. As long as there is a lift, you can't choose not to pay it even if you're living at the 2nd floor. Walking the stairs is optional. There are people who live at the 14th floor who go up and down the stairs even when they paid for the lift. Why is that so? It's not because they pay and they have to use it but because using a particular item is a decision make by oneself. This is something that can't be measured by with rubies and prizes. If a person choose to walk instead of using the lift, shouldn't you be rewarding this person instead since he's leading a healthy lifestyle? By using the lift you're using the energy and you're paying for the energy.
The reward in the event we are discussing isn't just about "paying for the easiest route" but "playing for the best outcome". People spent time and effort be it a payer or a free user, as long as they are committed they SHOULD be rewarded.
But this reward isn't the case.
It's more towards "I can give you a much better reward if you pay me better" rather than "If you, a diploma user with 2 years of relevant working experience and lower pay can work better than a fresh degree graduate whose pay is higher than you, I will reward you". In this circumstances, no matter how hard you work yourself or how experience you're, you're worth less than a paper of qualification.
