Changing the event arena quest from 100 to 50 when the quest is already supposed to be over? Ouch must be very painful for all those that spend money and gems to complete it. Is there going to be a refund?

That's what I hate about this patch.
I spent some gems to buy arena points...

The inconsistency is very high. First, they extend the event way too late. Now, they increase the drop rate of jacks and reduce the requirements.
I don't like what they did this time.

Agreed that the change and extension was done way too late. One thing that serious players do is "planning ahead" and most of them do not like this kind of last minute surprise. Many people spent gems to refill arena orbs and energy to complete the event and already exchanged their jack o treats (fb message even warned us to do so yesterday) Nonetheless, i'm sure the devs have good intention here, but if they announced it a few days earlier it would be great... the way they handle it, some people even speculate that maybe there was some problem with the patch so they postpone the event..anyway meanwhile i'll just put up with Winry for a few more days

Its a good change nonetheless, so I will just accept it with open arms.

I have to agree with you. After spending gems and waking up in the middle of the night so as not to waste arena points, this just made me feel like crap. I don't mind if it was 2-3 days before the event, but this surprise... was bad. I know they were just trying to help, but meh. 

I would have understood if they implemented a second arena quest with for example 100 gems at 50 wins.
But now to discredit the hours and sleepless times i have invested by simply changing it to 50? Very disappointing.
And i am afraid this will create a very troublesome precedent.
The game is supposed to be hard at some point. These events are a good way for the more advanced players who are far into the story or finished it, to keep it interesting and challenging.
If they remove that, what use is there to keep on playing?
Maybe i am to old school, an era where an achievement earned you some bragging rights and not as now, basically thrown in your lap.

Yes and yes. I hope the developer read our critics here and plan the next event better.
I also have sacrifice my sleeping hours in the last few days only for not to waste a single arena orbs and energy, in order the achieve 100% for this events.
100 arena wins is the last one that I did, and it's really challenging. So sad to see now it's reduced to half of it. My effort wasted..

at least give something to people who finish the arena qeust before the patch

I still have it on 50 with Android.
Haha things get weirder and weirder. At least it was a good baptism by fire for the devs so things can only improve from here on out.
