I too appreciate that there will now be a "week 3 break" after every event from now on.
It was too hectic to go from event to event to event. Having to upgrade an event hero to 5* +2 every 2 weeks (maybe twice, if you wanted both paths) is a little much. By having a 3rd filler week, it
A) allows F2P players to catch up and spend some time in story mode to be able to complete the trials. Previously, you could never find time to do story mode, because the Bazaar rewards far outshine what you could get from the story.
B) allows Veteran/old players to take a break from the game (after doing event every day non-stop for 14 days). Remember, its pretty exciting to figure out strategies to clear a Legendary or Master event map. What's not exciting is having to repeat that map 20 times a day for the next 13 days. I can even make use of this week to farm for materials to create crafted armor (for fodder to use to enhance to 6*), or potions for raiding.
C) Gives developers an additional week of time to design and create better/larger events, along with more time to QA test/balance them for a better experience for all of us.
D) Slows down the rate of introducing new heroes into the game. This effectively slows down the rate of power creep by 33%.
