Is gwen worth it for my deck?

Fri Jun 16, 2017 7:20 am

Hi I am a new user. I started last Thursday and have some questions.

I checked the Gwen event quest and I figured out that it would be impossible for me to achieve the 100% quest Gwen chest.

My deck consists of

5☆ Samurai Shizu (Ares)
4☆ Talissa (Hercules) Aiming for Warlock
4☆ Cybella (Hera) Aiming for Grand Archer
4☆ Drake (Ares) Aiming for Gladiator
4☆ Leon (Zeus) Aiming for Blood Knight

I have 20 valianites and I am in a dilemna whether to buy a Gwen ( I like her looks lol) or wait for the upcoming Elves.

It is so frustrating since the Summoner tickets are gonna leave the store after the Gwen Event finishes.

Are the developers doing this because they think summoners are OP?

I have absolutely no idea since I haven't had enough time to adapt with the game + how the developers run the game.

Of course nobody knows how strong or how useful the elves will be.

I'm just wondering if Gwen is a good choice with my deck.

Thanks for reading. :)

Actually, Cybella is better off as Gunslinger. But since it's already 4* to begin with, let scratch that off. (I myself never, as long as I played the game, get a 3* Cybella, which limited my options )

Any archer unit with critical trigger is always a fine addition to any team, provided you can pump up his/her crit rate to a decent amount (45-50% for starter. Higher will be best). Since they will have more reliable trigger rate as their stat grow.

Is gwen worth it? Personally, I think she is. The Gunslinger Gwen that is. Her trigger has decent damage (at 85% of the triggered hero's damage, which is higher than both Kane and Cybella GR). Since summoners tend to have slightly better stat than normal heroes, she should have better base crit stat than a Gunslinger Cybella, thus it'll be less of a chore to build her crit (even if it's just slightly less hard).

Her active skill also comes pretty fast. Good to add some extra damage to the whole party.

Be warned though, outfitting an archer can cost more than any other class.

In my opinion, you should keep the valianite for now. There is still more than a week before the event is over, so still got a chance to collect enough gem to do some extra summon. Maybe you'd be lucky by then. If you do get a gwen by then, you can instead use the valianite for pixies if gwen's faith turned out to be wrong. If by then you haven't gotten your gwen yet, and unable to finish event quest to 100%, feel free to buy her up with valianite :)

Any crit trigger hero, actually only rangers have, is a good investment to have.

She have a pet and her trigger, trigger her pet also, so she is a good additional but not necessary required. Why i say so.

Because a crit trigger hero need to have very high crit to work, aka 6750 crit point to reach 75%. Even so, there is no guarantee it will be a OP hero, because it cannot work on its own.

So it can and will take you a while to build her up. focus rune, might eq, hera faith etc.

This is the reason why people say that archer teams are OP in arena, and why don't nerf them. Because it take very long to make 1 crit hero, say about 3 or 4.

So if you are considering a long run hero to be used as a trigger team in events or arena, then yes, u can consider her and take ur time to build her up. If you think you better off investing in the new heroes, then u can take the risk.

Also, it is possible to complete the 100%, if you need to clear legendary, just borrow a Gwen, with your leon and cybella and drake, you can clear legend with ease. Just focus to build them to 5* and with proper eq, you can clear 100%. I very sure. :)
