Enchanment Talent Skill damage

Thu Jul 06, 2017 8:02 am

Recently, I unlocked lvl 2 Enchantment talent skill for my Freya Berserker.

I saw the number inside the bracket, but I can't really tell how the additional damage is affecting my total damage (if the damage I see is already added with the value within the bracket or if it's the normal damage without addition from Enchantment) and whether it was reduced by magic stat since it's counted as magic damage.

Does anyone have any knowledge about this particular problem?

Edit: after some little test I did while running Abyssal Gate, I found out that the number outside the bracket is already the total damage dealt. Whether the additional damage is reduced by magic stat or not is still unknown. As it turns out, raid boss damage meter doesn't record the additional damage properly. The additional damage is there (dealt separately from the main damage, but doesn't incur additional tick from lifesteal or be recorded in raid boss damage meter), and seemingly not reduced by enemy's magic stat.

Gonna need to do more test before I can confirm this for sure..
In the meantime, if anyone know how it really work, feel free to share your knowledge with us :D

From what my guild mates discussed together.
the number shown will be TOTAL NUMBER (Bonus Dmg)

the thing we don't know, is that why the bonus dmg is counted X% directly from the Final Dmg done, and not reduced by Mag stat (or why is it a fixed increase to the total dmg)

Example
Normally will be ->
12000 ATK - 2000 DEF = 10000 DMG

with 6% enhancement it will be ->
12000 ATK - 2000 DEF = 10600 (600) DMG

Ahh yes. It's exactly as you said.
It's really total damage (+bonus damage). And after testing it out on raid, the damage meter does record it properly. My bad :P

But from what I observed after doing several more tests, the bonus damage isn't exactly percentage of dealt damage.

Without buff and enchantment, my freya (12460 attack) dealt 8420 damage to Giant Snake raid boss (4040 defense). While with enchantment learned she dealt 8918(+498) damage.
If it's calculated from dealt damage the bonus damage should've been 8420*4%=336.8
Meanwhile if we calculate it from Freya's attack stat, 12460*4%=498,4. It is exactly the bonus damage value rounded down.

I guess the wording for the description of the talent skill itself should be changed to something less confusing. It basically improve normal attack damage by x% of hero's attack stat. No need to include that magic damage stuff

I haven't observed about how the bonus damage affect splash damage though. Since when I started testing this out, the snake boss has already lost its tail..

edit: after a quick testing on tower of lost soul floor 35 (rushing because maintenance is near already), the main target still give 498 bonus damage while the splash only dealt 398 bonus damage. This means only attack reductions may affect the bonus damage. Enemy's mag are totally ignored.

What is left to do is testing out how this enchantment bonus damage react against damage reduction buff. Or if it's used against unit with much higher def. Just that I hope after this update we can still reset skill tree cheaply, so the testing can go without too much hitch.
