Re: A guide to the different jobs available to Valiants

Thu Dec 01, 2016 10:35 am

I have a +2 Zealot Darrion (Kratos) prepping for the advancement but not sure which way i should go. I currently have a Victoria Blood Knight (Zues) but Darrion's BK passive 100% proc rate looks so enticing compared to the 75%. I've read the CKs are getting some popularity and getting another BK is quite a waste. Would like your advice regarding the matter! Thanks!

Blood Knight Darrion and Blood Knight Victoria have totally different conditions for their aura trigger. Whereas their Chaos Knight counterpart are totally the same even their skills, with the exception that Valiants are more superior in stats and have higher skill/stat modifiers. In hind sight, Victoria would be better off being Chaos Knight and Darrion a Blood Knight.

But since you already have a Blood Knight Victoria, you can opt for another Blood Knight Darrion only if you have not invested too much into Victoria already (limit breaks). I'm talking about the long run here. Victoria is a normal Hero, much easier to get compared to a Valiant like Darrion and Blood Knight Darrion's aura is just too good to pass. You'd have to factor in your other heroes as well, if you already have a Ninja for swap, then all the more reason to get Blood Knight Darrion.

But if you're eager to get a Chaos Knight without hope that you'll get another Victoria, then by all means make Darrion a Chaos Knight. He's just the same as Chaos Knight Victoria but more beefed up. You'll be playing a game of dice with Blood Knight Victoria's aura trigger this way, although the dice is in your favour, it's still a gamble. However, this way is not recommended, at least by me anyways...  I have a Blood Knight Victoria who's benched for more than 2 months... Never used her.

TL;DR: Make Darrion a Blood Knight, cut your losses with Blood Knight Victoria (she's faith/aura reroll fodder now), and make a Chaos Knight Victoria.

I have a Hercules Zealot Victoria as well not too long ago. Thanks for the advice! I was thinking around the same lines, just felt like a waste if i got another BK. BK Darrion it is!

Darrion - Holy Defender

A walking fortress who boast the highest DEF among all heroes even among his other jobs. He can also substitute any Healer who does not have the cleanse effect since he can do it himself and more frequently. A 25% of his DEF boost to everyone in his aura is very significant, you'll see a lot less damage taken by everyone with normal attacks and skills thanks to the major update which now allows DEF to provide magical defense. He can hold the line very well in PVP, even while debuffed on a tile (If you can get there first).
He used to Heal? I don't think he does it anymore...In the skill description there's only "Removes all negative effects"

Cleanse = Remove negative effects

Some Healers like Archbishop Teresa and Inquisitor Lucille do not have it.

I just got Lucille as my 3rd valiant. too bad the faith is Ares :(
As I have many Luthors and 1 Inquisitor Teresa, what should I do with Lucille?

I'm in the same boat, yesterday I pulled a Lucille and with Ares faith too.

After much mulling about it, I've decided not to use her yet because I already have Archbishop Teresa at Lv. 38. Also the fact that she's of Ares faith, having high ATK does not fit into any of her kit in any job. So she's a material for limit break now... for me anyways.

But for your case it may be different. It depends on how much you've invested into other Healers. Lucille isn't much sought after for her healing anyways, even for her priest jobs. People want her more for her utility (Invulnerability & Charms). Right now you have to weigh your options, whether a Lv.30 Lucille bring anything more to your table than what your original team can already do or can your team can do alright without her utilities... There's no real rush to do anything unless you're the competitive type.

Nah, not that competitive type.
Before I got Lucille, I was planning to make my Luthor athena as Witch Doctor and LB the rest to him, and combine him with Teresa Inquisitor. Now with Lucille and bad faith, I was thinking benching her for a while since I still have many plans to do before her. I still need to maxing my 2nd Valiant Kane that I just got last week.
Thanks for your thoughts!

Man, nice guide you have here, it's god sent for players like me who have no idea what to build ^^ . That being said, i need some advise on which job adv to go.
I recently pulled Freya and my joy was cut short when i found out her faith was athena.. I've read your guide but am still torn between choosing dragoon, berserker and warlord. I'm mainly looking to build her for PVP.
My current team are as follow:
Grand Ranger Kane+1 (Kratos)
Megabane Shizu+1 (Hercules)
4* Winry +2
Zealot Leon, to be replaced with CK Victoria.
Rogue Rin (Kratos)

I realised VF loves giving me bad faiths LOL.

Thank you : )

For starters, Dragoon Freya would serve you better in the long run. Why I advise so? Because you have a Grand Ranger Kane and Magebane Shizu, both are great stunners and together with Freya as a Dragoon, you're close to forming a stun lock team which is quite popular to clear the Legendary Story. Dragoon will also help you in the daily gold event if you don't already use Lancers for their low cool down. For PVP, the Dragoon can launch herself behind your opponent's squishy heroes or pierce through the front line with her normal attacks.

But if you want to be like me, I only use 1 Melee hero which is Warlord Freya. I couldn't choose the Dragoon because that would leave my Mystics/Rangers vulnerable. The Warlord is good in her own way, especially for pulling bosses or enemy Mystics/Rangers in PVP which also packs a good punch. It is exceptionally good vs opponents who run Guardians coupled with Ninjas whereby the AI Ninja swaps the Warlord out most of the time and then she can pull Guardians away from the tile (I'm not exactly sure in the case for others, my setup lets the Ninja AI swap my Warlord most of the time).

As for the Berserker, well... no real good reason to use her. Their buffs wear out pretty fast in PVP and their aura is quite dependent on having more around her which isn't going to happen for me.

Try getting Rin replaced with Freya when you have come to a decision, you have enough melee heroes in the team as it is.
