Hmm, then where does the whales come in? I guess its pretty hard when it involve money, since arena is a end game for "whales". heavy spender will always win. Haha.I know it's part of business strategy to sell gems in-game, but there should be at least some limitation when it comes to arena. Most players in the top rank can already win approximately 90% of their battles, and so, all things being equal, the arena champion will usually be the ones who can purchase the most gems each week. Arena should have a level playing field where everyone can compete fairly. My suggestion would be to limit recharge just once per day. Other suggestions also welcome here.
agree, they should increase the limit like how they did on job keys. I believe 1 slot on every 15 levels?I want they increase max arena orb to 8+ though
Well, whales already come in with higher Limit Breaked units (higher level/stats), and much better gear, faith and aura directions. And probably at least have one of every competitively viable unit on the bench. So I actually kinda agree with OP, they don't need the additional ability to buy Orbs.Hmm, then where does the whales come in? If the definition of winning is to get #1, then it is p2w.Even without buying orb, you can effectively reach top 50 if you do not lose a single fight.
People who buy orb to reach top 1 have to do trade off calculation between orb buy and the reward get so the limit itself is already there (i.e: the cost of buying orb shouldn't exceed the reward in arena).
Limit arena orb recharge doesn't do anything since there's already a limit set by the arena reward (would you spend 100 gem to buy arena orb to top 50 where the reward is only 70 more gem?). Of course people who do that do it for the blood token but since there's a limit in the blood token shop (once per month or twice per month) it's not really p2w.
If you play 24orbs a day and have 90% winning rate you get into top 50. So what does that have to do with recharging orbs?If the definition of winning is to get #1, then it is p2w.Even without buying orb, you can effectively reach top 50 if you do not lose a single fight.

Having the rewards be structured in such a way that it becomes not worth spending $$ on because you don't get anymore rewards does not make it "not really p2w"; you are still paying to win - just that the player chose to do so without getting rewards, or perhaps to deny someone else from winning that reward.
