a.k.a, this will not really do the goal you are expecting, which is to try something new. What this will achieve, instead, is for players to figure out how to maximize these formation bonuses with the current meta, as in to utilize these bonuses with SDD or Trigger Rangers.


And honestly I hate the devs trying to limit trigger ranges by debuffing crit, or SDD by disabling auras. It does the job, but it hurts many other teams and it doesnt even fix the problem in the long run.
Again, not trying to fix anything with just this suggestion, as I've said, SDD or Ranger Square problems are beyond what this suggestion could affect the game, like I told you, if the trigger mechanics had some limit, they would not be that interesting anymore giving more room for people to try new things. in the meantime while we don't have the correct solution for SDD and Ranger Square we can't stop creativity or added game mechanics or like I said, encourage new things.

Some people can try to use this system to buff their SDD Damage, but this suggestion is not buffing SDD, it's buffing squad usage in general, so it's not a buff directed to any specific squad. 

Speaking of nerf here or in any Valiant Force channel brings controversy, people will always complain, they want to clear everything with ease, even if it's breaking the game. You can post 100 threads about nerfing SDD or Ranger Square, I sincerely don't think it will make any difference

I see. Well, thanks for the reply. I'll stop now before I spiral this out of control (tends to happen alot for me)

As I mentioned, its not bad of a mechanic. It defenitely does depend on the implementation, of course, so the mechanic could turn out to be something amazing.

This is one way to put it, and a nice idea for a test server (if you guys use that :D). Im kinda more inclined to more "radical" solutions like just restricting to 2 heroes of same class for each arena team, however this is worth a shot as people won`t see it as restricting as what i was thinking about.
Either if it's this or a more "restrictive" solution, you guys have to try something because arena in most cases (specially in older servers likke EG) is becoming boring, stalling and no fun. Either you go first with archers and win, or you use tanks (which btw are better than archers even if all the hate goes for that guys).

I understand how the game is build in balance a bit, you guys made classes like shadows/mystics/ very powerfull early/mid game, making them obsolete late game except few units (Shizu/Zoey..) and then jump to archer/tank train, sadly thats not a good desgn. Arena is still fun in Arathos, but wont be for long, its time to start applying a solution.
