25 Suggestions

Just want to say that when I first started VF, it was one of my most enjoyable gaming experiences. I know the game is undergoing some serious issues now in terms of how the latest ideas/content was implemented but I hope for the best. Please find the following suggestions and I hope that some of these will be taken into consideration for future updates:

1. Please provide a tutorial for how to use the chat and communicate with other players. I think to this day, there are still guild members who never respond in guild chat because they don't even know a chat channel exists even though they are active contributors. You also need to improve in-game communication functionality: Let us send mail to guild members and friends via post office and PM them if they are currently online. 

2. Give us an option to skip certain animations when we use the buildings in our garrison (e.g. Wishing Well, Fusion Altar and Salvage Yard animations) and combat starting text e.g. "Wave 1 of 2", "Event Hero Bonus", "Ally Buff", "Boss Wave" etc. Gets old after having to run multiple event quests for ladder.

3. Express ticket functionality is too limited... it's not an outright beneficial item unlike say, potions or gold. You forfeit group hero XP, the chance to build up friendship points, and the chance of bonus encounters. Any bundle that has express tickets is automatically out of my consideration, so please improve it. For express, perhaps give an option to auto-bring a friend along as well... reason to use express tickets (a good idea!) is normally to save time or save battery power from repeatedly farming a zone.

4. Have an option in Arena to look up hero skills/class when you are facing them. Most of us can't remember all the different heroes skills/auras just by looking at the portrait, although nowadays it's mostly summoners and rangers, heh.

5. Suggestion to reduce loading times -- please have the option to toggle 3D model loading except for the main town/garrison and main combat parts of the game e.g. let us turn it off at the squad selection screen (just before combat) or the story quest chapter selection screen. This will cut down on the time spent waiting for the game along with Point 2. 

6. For auto-combat (a great idea!), give us an option to use hero skills or not to use skills. 

7. For garrison, please show time left before next resource is generated e.g. gem cavern, academy, watermill, and also a different graphic once the building is at max capacity. Also, have an option to turn off Post Office notification for certain items e.g. energy unless it's close to expiring (e.g. 1 hour left) 

8. Possible to toggle between guns vs bows graphics options for GUNslingers especially? The sets are all bows, but it would be nice to have an option for the looks. You can even just use the existing gun graphics in the game.

9. Regarding the Daily "Defeat X Enemies in Quests", is it bugged? Unlike the Guild Quest "Enemies of the Guild", it doesn't give credit for Event Quests like Gold Mines and Tower of Despair, only Story and Job Quests.

10. Please consider buffing Daily Login rewards, which become lacklustre after the first month --  Don't give express tickets and XP potions, please?

11. For max level Wishing Well reward, at least give silver smithing hammers? 

12. For maxed level but not maxed training heroes, please consider giving a small amount of training points/percentage if the hero repeatedly is used in gold/fodder farming quests that would otherwise normally give XP? Sometimes hardly any suitable 3* fodder drops and one has to do many runs to get enough gold to summon heroes.

13. Guild chest rewards are extremely lacklustre at higher player levels. Should have some guaranteed gems by then for the gold cost. 

14. Quest rewards also don't scale with how hard it is to complete the "All-time Quests", especially for legendary arena, trials, rune upgrade, hero upgrading, and weapon collector. Why isn't there any item slot quest reward? 

15. Leveling up player level should give more item slots; hero slots don't get used up so quickly, or perhaps have runes not take up item slots. Also good to show player level exp progress meter not just graphically but also in terms of numbers.

16. Days with Training/Fusion boost of 10% is not significant enough to make a difference. 

17. Friend ally becomes naked/no gear when resuming combat (from a disconnect or program force close). Usually happens during repeating job quests when my game quits on its own, sometimes also on repeating event quests. Shouldn't this be fixed? There is already a penalty of -5% stats. Just apply it to the ally too instead of removing all gear bonuses.

18. Regarding the Skip button during summoning, can you please make another one in the bottom right instead of top right only? Harder to tap top right corner on phones for most people. 

19. Regarding runes, please let us lock runes too. Also, when selling runes, have unequipped runes appear at the top, not bottom, just like equipment. It's annoying to have to scroll down to sell them each time. 

20. Regarding the Academy, please give a warning that switching job relics midway will reset the timer for production e.g. you have 2 hrs left before your promotion item is ready -- are you sure you want to change production now?

21. Why are gold mine production and expedition returns capped so early? The expedition cost also seems rather high... 6K gold for 50K gold? The Gem Cavern expedition costs also seem excessive for what you get back from the expedition. 100K to get 10 gems when it costs 25 gems to get 200-300K from Gold Mine Event? The fact is gold levels will also be low because gold is used up very quickly (garrison, expeditions, hero training and especially equipment). It should be the same cost as job key expedition (2 keys = 50K gold = 10 gems).

22. Please display crit percentage when you inspect hero stats during combat too, thank you.

23. Please have a clearer description for gold dust/ore/ingot/bar/bullion -- say that it's not used for anything else and that it's OK to sell. At first thought they could be used for crafting as well, being new to the game.

24. For general and guild chat, please have an option to hide announcements for upgrades/achievements so as to not miss important messages.

25. Regarding arena, it should not be a daily quest as players are then forced to choose between risking arena ranking/score (they may not have all day to keep finding suitable match-ups) and forfeiting the gems from completing all daily quests. PVP should be optional, not compulsory for an RPG.

We are very grateful with your feedback for Valiant Force. Thank you for your support !
Currently we are working to improve some elements in-game that we cannot wait to share with everyone else. 
Some points I can help to elaborate below:
1. For Communication on the game (such as Whisper or PM features) be assured that we are working on them to apply them in-game as soon as possible. We have to make sure this features works perfectly for everyone to use. We received so many suggestion spesificly for this one and cannot wait to introduce to everyone.

2. Normally express ticket is used to farm Job Quest and save time for doing daily quest, but as you suggest we will take note for this feature to make it better

3. The Daily Quest means you have to defeat enemies from the Quest. Be it Story Quest or Job Quest. You can use express ticket for this as well and it doesn't work on any Event or Dungeon Quest.

4. We are working on for the Daily Quest renewal. Hopefully we can deliver this soon to everyone 

5. Silver smithing hammer can be received through expedition by building Worker's Hut. But there is a chance we will discuss for the Wishing Well items.

It's such an amazing suggestion from you and we are very thankful to everyone who understand and wait patiently while we are making Valiant Force into better game!
We will surely take notes and pass on these suggestion to DEV team!

Let me help you clear some point on this Lightwind: Don't get me wrong, I dont want to create a spark of fight between us but I hope my comment can help to ease your mind.
Some points I don't really get it but I hope VF team can help you to bring us more improvement !

If you have to skip animation, I'm more to suggest to skip the animation for skills on the while combat not on some small feature and it wont hurt you to wait..  It's one of the feature animation that makes the game good.

Any bundle that has express tickets is automatically out of my consideration, so please improve it. For express, perhaps give an option to auto-bring a friend along as well... reason to use express tickets (a good idea!) is normally to save time or save battery power from repeatedly farming a zone. << I agree with placing Express ticket on the Bundle is not a good idea but by using Express Ticket you have to face consequences of not using Ally and Increment of your Heroes' EXP but the good thing you still got the items and EXP

Most of us can't remember all the different heroes skills/auras just by looking at the portrait, although nowadays it's mostly summoners and rangers, heh. << The portrait is very clear. Can't you differ which one is Zerk which one is not ? okay that's not fair of me, sorry but I would think the portrait is very clear enough to show. If I may suggest on what to improve, is to show the number of their status when battling so as their opponet we know thei ATK or DEF and how we set strategy on has to be defeated first.

6. For auto-combat (a great idea!), give us an option to use hero skills or not to use skills.  << This is.. .seriously? When you choose Auto, it means you have given the system permission to do what it can to clear the quest. there is no option to use skills or not, if there is it means Manual not Auto anymore.. You can suggest to DEV -Not to activate the skills when Auto- but that's not fair, right lol

7. For garrison, please show time left before next resource is generated e.g. gem cavern, academy, watermill, and also a different graphic once the building is at max capacity. Also, have an option to turn off Post Office notification for certain items e.g. energy unless it's close to expiring (e.g. 1 hour left) << funny, everytime you check the post office, you just need to claim your rewards why you have to wait until the system tells you . and you do can turn off the notification for good. it's your choice anyway. Every rewards on the post office has time limit to claim and if you are unable to claim, it's your loss.. It is harsh, but the first thing I do when I open VF, I check my post office, claim then close the app and start working. simple. 

8. Possible to toggle between guns vs bows graphics options for GUNslingers especially? The sets are all bows, but it would be nice to have an option for the looks. You can even just use the existing gun graphics in the game. << well, this feature has been set that if you have Gun, then your Gunsliger will use a gun, if you have bow than you will use bow.. simple . But if VF team can nail this request kudos to them lol

Of course it doesnt give credit for Event Quest or Dungeon, because they already have their own quest which is "Finish 4 Event Quest" 

10. Please consider buffing Daily Login rewards, which become lacklustre after the first month --  Don't give express tickets and XP potions, please? << this can't argue, I hope VF team change the Daily Login too .. 

11. For max level Wishing Well reward, at least give silver smithing hammers? << You can actually get the silver smithing hammers from expedition, you know? Build Worker's Hut and upgrade to max. But I do agree to have the Wishing well reward to be updated for more interesting items.

13. Guild chest rewards are extremely lacklustre at higher player levels. Should have some guaranteed gems by then for the gold cost. << I agree with this.. I may hope too much to get gems but at least give us other rewards except express tickets and potions

I agree that we need more item slots or hero slots everytime we level up but for not taking up slots, I think this problem has been going on so long that the Equip item cannot be included on the inventory space.. I hope the team find the solution

Just apply it to the ally too instead of removing all gear bonuses. << that why they called it penalty. it suchan unfortunate when they got penalty because of the game error but funny thing it doesnt always happen because of the game itself. It can be cause by the phone itself sometimes.

Thank you very much for the acknowledgement, Satsuki!  :) Also, thank you for taking action on the guild quest issue as well!

Thank you also Pockychama for taking the trouble to respond as well. Let me clarify some of my suggestions:

1. The idea behind Express Tickets is to make them MORE valuable so that people are actually willing to pay money for them (as they are limited in supply anyway), and also to help prevent player burnout (there are already others who say that the game is taking up too much time for a mobile game) by genuinely saving them battery power and time without making them *feel* shortchanged for the reasons I mentioned. It should not be a "compromise" feeling when you use them, it should be a "worth it"/"thankful" feeling when you use them. Leave out the XP potions from using the express tickets if necessary; I would rather earn friendship points than the potions, otherwise you still feel like you need to spend time on the game for building up friendship points. 

2. Thanks for the clarification regarding Daily Quest "Defeat X Enemies in Quests". I suggest rewording it to  "Defeat X Enemies in Story/Job Quests" then.

3. Regarding wishing well, my point is not so much silver smithing hammers per se; just that perhaps some of the wishing well rewards could be buffed at max level. 

4. As for skipping animations, yes, I want to be able to skip those animations mentioned earlier, just like how I can already skip skill casting animations by tapping on the screen. All these few secs here and there add up when repeating quests over and over.

5. Regarding the post office notification being turned off, sometimes I don't want to use the reward on that day itself, I want to wait till a day or two later when there is say, extra gold bonus, or when event ladder starts, and it gets annoying because you can't tell if there's something else you need to collect from the post office. If I still forget till it expires, too bad for me, haha.

6. Regarding the arena portrait section, I'm referring to the part where you can still choose to repick a new opponent. I don't think I'm the only one, but I can't remember all the classes, skills and auras of every hero and would like to be able to access the info before I decide to commit to the fight. As per the screenshot below:

7. Auto-combat: The reason to turn off auto-skill casting during auto combat is that sometimes, for example, that skill is actually meant more for PVP like the Ninja or Chaos Knight Swap, or it's more optimal for the Gunslinger to just keep shooting instead of using the skill so that triggers can activate.

Same here, as long as a bundle contains Express Tickets it's out of my consideration, although i would change your suggestion. I rather have the XP pots/items. Friendship points are useless with the high turnover rate of the player base. I recently just had to delete a "Loyal" friend. They should let us express event quests though, would finally put my stack of 2.5k useless express tickets to some use.

And put the class name besides the unit name in the actual arena too. @pockychama, not everyone has good picture memory especially with those lesser used classes like WD (etc)

6. For auto-combat (a great idea!), give us an option to use hero skills or not to use skills. Yes please. @pockychama, some other games "auto" allow players to choose to use what skills even.

Also, have an option to turn off Post Office notification for certain items e.g. energy unless it's close to expiring (e.g. 1 hour left) Yes please. @pockychama there are items (like energy/keys) that are sometimes left behind to be used later, especially energy - no point claiming them if you are nearly full unless you are stacking them, is there?

11. For max level Wishing Well reward, at least give silver smithing hammers? Good to improve the wishing well, remove those express tickets and 7500 gold please. Purchase a wish cost 25 gems when the highest gem value you can get from it is 25 gems???

13. Guild chest rewards are extremely lacklustre at higher player levels. Should have some guaranteed gems by then for the gold cost. Well, lowering the gold contribution was a good start. At least if someone is unlucky enough to get 4x gold, they no longer lose gold. Again, unless the devs come up with better ways to use those express tickets, please remove this bane of VF from the chest.

Also good to show player level exp progress meter not just graphically but also in terms of numbers. This game features one of the worst leveling up rewards in the whole gaming industry, 'nuff said.

It's very annoying to have the friends stats drastically reduced on resume. @pockychama, we aren't really talking about what's the cause of the game quitting. Resuming already cost 5% stats to our and friend's units but the friend's unit becomes naked (without stats from equipment). Clearly a bug or the devs just didn't take the liberty to save the friend unit's gear data (but yet still save the friend unit data) for reuse.

So (to me), Gold mine (and it's expedition) and Gem cavern expedition are not worth their cost. I actually don't know what the devs are thinking. Scared of people "earning" gems from gem caverns expedition? It's only once per day for god's sake. Also, can the devs please change the expedition for wishing well to something more useful? Seriously, anything but express tickets.

Generally speaking yes, but for example, when gold is low, sometimes it's not worth using a 1* fodder rune (which can drop from events) to upgrade a 4* rune, so I'd rather sell it to offset the upgrade cost for a 3* fodder rune. The upgrade cost seems to be the same regardless of the rarity of the fodder rune.
