Elementalist is still rad in PVE and Gold Mine. Maybe not for PVP at the moment.

Well, I just started this game during its real launch so I do not really have a true idea about how OP mystic was during CBT. But the general trend of opinions  from ppl who replied seems to say that elementalist is not ideal in arena and fairly useful in gold mine. Some claim that it still useable in PVE which i strongly disagree.
Being a Mystic restrict you to the armor set that has least defense. So it makes mystic and healer have a harder time surviving legendary mode attacks. Healer has a slight edge since they at least able to hold a shield to reduce the damage. 
So mystic has a harder time to survive in legendary compared to all the other classes. So the reason you would bring a mystic is to use its "OP" skill to change the battle in your favor
So how does a elementalist does it? it nukes the monster making them easier to kill. But when yr "OP" skill is doing less then 1/5 to a normal mob and even less to a boss I do not see how elementalist can be remotely useful in PVE at higher level content.

If we take from the fact people find elementalist useful in gold mine, wouldnt it means that elementalist is only useful in a map where nothing atk you and you have the luxary of turns to build CD.
Is there ever going to be future end game content that have monster not have hidden magic resistance and appear in above situation?

Currently people have been stalling 1st wave to build CD in PVE, but that bring able how useful is her skill? Which I believe from the data I presented, it is not useful in PVE with the developers love of increasing the amount of HP of monster much further then what a player can increase their main stats. Not to mention still being unable to see how the so called 165% of mag is converted to such low damage.

I agree that difficult end game content should have specialized teams to beat... But when your so called strongest valiant hero in the game serves no purpose in both PVP and PVE its just show how much the developer really care about the game.

Therefore I feel that to justify anyone bringing a mystic to a battle it should at least have a skill that have significant impact on the battle. 
One suggestion I could think of is skill damage that scales to a portion of PVE monster HP.
Another one is maybe what another person suggested in suggestion thread, where mystic has a charge up CD where do the longer you save your skill the stronger it gets. It at least lets Mystic use their Mag stats outside of their long CD skill or when they are getting wiped from PVE monster using their skill.

and mostly the reason is because during CBT mystics were too OP. 

fine granted that they should nerf mystics, it shouldn't be to this extent that it doesn't seems to have any value other than gold mine farming.

that's like from hero to zero.

I'm agree that Mystic class is really weak and useless.

and when i see Patch Notes, buffed 10% Skill Damage...LOL

even with my 38 Cybella-Sharpshooter with 220% with 11000 ATK is do lower damage than Normal Attack to many Mobs(except Balthor)

Yes, it's Single Target skill should do Massive Damage than AOE...but...165% is really not worth 7 Turns. and you can't even call both 'Nuke Skill'.

problem is MAG status should be rework someway.

I wonder if Dev team really Monitoring in Mystic class, why they didn't know it?

To be honest I agreed kiera is not a good choice for pve due mystic class lack of def and hp, but on the other hand she is quite nice in pvp and gold mine. I used her to boost my healer hence she could heal 2k+ . to clear legendary in my opinion, stunner is a must as we need to decrease the boss hp slowly knowing some boss have tremendous stats. The best hero for pve I think is vincent dragoon, used hero with skills for stun or delay the monster countdown only as they tend to have high magic and attack. Valiant forced is a strategic game and I think they want us to developed diffrent team composition to conquest the game. So yeah cheer up buddy :):)

My suggestion is you go for mind warder the clases have more usefullness than elementalist

I have a level 34 Elementalist Kiera plus one more 3* Kiera, but the only place I use her now is in the Gold Mine. You may say that she somewhat works in PVE and the arena, but every other classes can do things better than she is right now. I even prefer my Ares level 30 Mind Warder Zedd in event and legendary stage because of his useful skill delay. For example, the latest event, with some combo from champion and mind warder, I can kill all the chest in Legendary mode reliably, I tried bringing Elementalist Kiera in and her skill can do jack, needless to say about her super weak normal attack. 
I am still waiting for the day some new content will make her useful again.

I were just about to ride along the Kiera Elementalist train, and then here comes this thread.
Okay. I'll halt her promotion for now. Working on a Hercules Zedd into a MW since better for now.

You sure for PVE? Is yours able to survive till it pull off a skill in legendary PVE?
