Yep, that way all players will benefit :
- New players will get the 100% achievement, will have they're story closure, and will have an option to proceed to the challenge
- Old players will have theyre challenged and gain some additional rewards
Its a win win for both parties less stress for devs.
Myth will only open when the 1 star trial legend is completed. Its optional not needed for 100% chest achievement and its way harder than legend.
Then this suggestion is strong! I shall endorse thee with invisible likes!
Realistically though, it is less stress but more work for them. If this idea of an extra mode sounds good they'll probably implement it everywhere and not just events. It might take a long while before it gets to see the light of day if they take it into consideration.
A comment i made on another post. All suggestions about it are welcome:
A 2 part event:
Part 1: accessible to all player. Easy to medium difficulty. Achievements and quests give 3* - 4* with 1x5* at completion. ( be it gear character etc. )
Part 2: a raid only accesible after clearing the heroic mode story campaign. Didficulty: heroic to legendary. The raid boss will RNG loot equipment between 4* and 5* ( maybe 6* because i realy love you devs ) and an extra guarantee *5 on completion for the first time.( or 6* because you guys are the best devs in the world )
Pros:
new players are forced to clear heroic story and get a better understanding of the game mechamics.And will look forward to advance so they can compete in the legendary raid.
Older players will still be challenged.
Cons: Freaking None!
Changing the actual events will only create bad blood and bad tension inside the community. Reduce the curent style event and put a extra one for the older players. Everyone happy.
These are some shortcomings I can point out:
- If new players can compete in the legendary raid, there is no challenge for older players.
- This type of event, or any event cannot be repeated continuously, the Developers have previously mentioned they try to implement new event formats before recycling previous ones.
- I think your suggestion is still not complete, the idea/foundation is there. But somehow I feel you need to elaborate more in detail on every aspect.
As stated the newer players will have to complete heroic quest line before being allowed access to the 2nd part raid. That will push them to build a team and advance into the game. The 2nd raid can be as now, but with heroic - legendary instead of the actual notmal - heroic - legendary. The difficulty will be higher allowing advanced players to use their skills and knowledge to pass it. The 1st event and 2nd event will be season based as it is now. Still alowing the devs to use their creativity to amaze us with new quests and dungeons.
Note: both events will run at the same time. Giving advanced players the coice between rushing trough the normal - heroic mode once for the rewards, or go straight to the 2nd part and use those brain cells.
Consider it as 1 event, the story part accesible to all, and the higher part ( special raid ) only available to those who have cleared the story line in heroic.
Those that have beaten heroic story but still lack that bit of strenght to try legendary will have a choicr of what to farm. Do i take allot of time and go for the special raid, or do they go to the normal - heroic and aim for that 4* set that might give them the necessary power to start legend.
I'm really sorry but I'm more confused than before... Could you perhaps structure your whole idea to be more presentable and easier to understand? A new topic about it would be nice and more easier for everyone to spot.
